This role will be in charge of the coordination and execution of importation & clearance operations for shipments of Finished Goods, Clinical Research and Compassionate Use Program pharmaceuticals and materials, any special items sent to Pfizer PFE and exportation operations for sale or return scenarios.

Candidate will be working within GSC Turkey in collaboration with GSC Turkey Planning and Logistics teams, Quality Operations, Technical Registration, Finance Department, international GSC Intercompany Operations team, Manufacturing Sites, Clinical Research and Medical departments as well as 3rd Party vendors such as Customs Brokers, Bonded Warehouses, Ministries and consultant companies.

The role requires a highly motivated individual, who is a self-starter with ability to work under pressure, changing priorities and highest compliance standards.


+ Coordinating inbound shipments of finished goods and other materials from supply points to Turkey Customs and from customs to Turkey Logistic Center or relevant delivery points.

+ Cooperating in Receiving & Reviewing the shipping documents for conformity to MOH and customs regulations.

+ Collaborating strongly with related departments for New Launch Products readiness and importation of necessary products

+ Import & export license applications and submitting declarations to the Local Authorities (i.e. Ministry of Health)

+ Tracking legislations and regulations in Turkey and fulfilling requirements in a timely manner to be able to provide supply continuity.

+ Following up the import operations daily with customs brokers to ensure the soonest delivery to relevant delivery points.

+ Tracking import operations to be performed in line with the national and international legislations and ensuring all transactions to be compliant with the local regulations and Pfizer global procedures including following subjects; identification of commodity code, confirmation of origin, determination of customs tariff codes, determination of value, free trade agreements, customs operations, record keeping and documentation.

+ Providing required assistance during import operations audits performed by independent consultants or customs inspectors.

+ Lead and control the 3rd party service providers such as customs brokers, transport companies and LSP contacts.

+ Handling exportation management of shipments (returns, samples, export scenario of finished goods/materials)

+ Driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.


+ University Degree, preferably in Engineering, International Trade, Logistics or Business Administration.

+ Minimum 5 years working experience in Supply Chain related fields (international trade, import, export, customs, logistics) preferably in the pharmaceutical/chemical industry.

+ Fluent in English as a working language

+ Knowledge of SAP (ECC)


+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills

+ Excellent in follow-up and work planning

+ Strong skills in MS Office Suite, especially Excel

+ Strong communication and stakeholder skills

+ Understanding of GMPs and compliance in the pharma industry

+ Above site / regional or global experience

+ Experience working in a complex matrix organization
