Pfizer's Drug Safety Research & Development (DSRD) team is seeking a talented Immunologist to join the Immunosafety Sciences organization. You will have the opportunity to explore state-of the-art technologies, such as molecular immune profiling and proteomics as well as contributes data for regulatory filings and publishing in peer-reviewed journals. You will provide scientific leadership in your area of specialty and work in partnership with some of the brightest minds in the industry to develop, and potentially conduct immunological assays to support the safety of Pfizer innovative Biopharmaceutical candidates and strategic initiatives.

Pfizer's drug development pipeline contains many novel targets, modalities and platforms that impact the immune system, either intentionally or unintentionally, particularly in the areas of oncology, inflammation and immunology, as well as rare diseases and gene therapy.

The role of the Immunosafety Sciences group is to understand the impact of drugs on the immune system and provide guidance on strategies to mitigate and/or monitor clinical risk. The breadth of the immunology-related portfolio in Pfizer dictates the need for significant Immunosafety resource and application of cutting-edge technologies.

**Role Responsibilities**

+ Become familiar with all aspects of the capabilities of the Immunosafety Sciences group and the Pfizer portfolio

+ Provide new perspectives/insights from the field of immunology to the group

+ Contribute to data generation and subject matter expertise-in the area of immunology to support the portfolio

+ Contribute expertise to the development of the next generation Immunosafety strategy

+ Establish partnerships with key stakeholders outside of the group, and provide key data or scientific input that positively impacts the portfolio


+ This job description is written with a broad scope, however the position and level will be adjusted for candidates that would be the right fit and have long-term interest in developing the scientific capabilities of the Immunosafety Sciences group and application of related cutting-edge technologies

+ Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree. Significant lab-based experience in immunology in lieu of higher degree will also be considered

+ Education and practical training in immunology

+ Experience generating high quality data in a time-sensitive fashion

+ Record of peer-reviewed publications preferred

+ Contemporary knowledge of current and emerging areas of immunology that can be applied to the Pfizer portfolio

+ Sound communication and interpersonal skills with a willingness for collaboration, adaptability and innovation
