Clarion Psychiatric Centeroffers inpatient treatment for adults with moderate to severe psychiatric problems, inpatient crisis stabilization for children and adolescents, and a Partial Hospitalization Program for school-aged children. Our recently expanded 112-bed inpatient program has 4 units. Job Requirements

The Human Resources Specialistworks closely with the Human Resources Director to manage the day-to-day HR functions for the organization. Responds to a variety of requests for assistance from employees and external requests for employment related information; schedules interviews and completes reference checks; enters employment information into the HRIS/payroll system; ensures that personnel files are up to date and in compliance with regulatory requirements; ensures that all employees have current mandated clearances and licenses; coordinates new employee orientation and onboarding.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Education: Bachelors degree in Business or Human Resources required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, is required.

Knowledge / Skills: A keen understanding of the critical nature of maintaining confidential information. Basic knowledge of employment law. Professional writing skills are required, such as drafting professional correspondence.

Supervision Exercised: None

Supervision Received: Human Resources Director

General Working Environment: Office and hospital setting. Works in a well lighted and ventilated setting, is subject to frequent interruptions.

Physical Requirements: Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and be able to walk and stand for long periods. Able to participate in crisis prevention intervention. The Physical Requirements described herein are representative of those, which must be met by an employee to successfully perform the primary functions of this job.
