We are pleased to announce the following available position:

House Supervisor (RN) Full-time Nights and Rotating Weekends

Shifts: 6:45p-7:15a

The House Supervisor is responsible for ensuring coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and hospital policy, goals and objectives. This position assists in contributing to the hospital's philosophy, objectives, educational and performance improvement efforts, while providing supervision to the nursing staff. The House Supervisor is responsible for direct supervision of the nursing staff, patients, and patient care during their shift. The House Supervisor will work closely with the Intake and Admissions Department regarding patient admissions, discharges, and transfers during their shift.

Job Requirements

Education: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing required or equivalent combination of education and experience in psychiatric nursing management; Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Experience: A minimum of three (3) years experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.

Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Florida State Board of Nursing, BLS

Additional Requirements: Must demonstrate excellent leadership,trainingas well as critical thinking skills.Mustbe able to prioritize workload and effectivelymulti-task in a fast paced environment. Excellent listening, communication, prioritization and follow through skills.Strong focus on providing high quality patient care.Understanding of The Joint Commission (TJC), AHCA, HCFA, OSHAas well as applicable state and federal regulatory requirements.CPR certification and successful completion of restraining procedures training within 30 days of employment.

Physical Requirements:

Move efficiently enough to meet the needs of several patients and/or move rapidly to provide timely intervention of patient aggression. Able to sit or walk during work shift. Able to hear spoken words in a normal vocal range, respond to signals, alarms, codes or other displays. Recognize vocal intonation that signal changes in acuity. Able to bend, reach and stoop. Must write legibly so as to accurately convey information. Able to read instructions and complete documentation and reports. Restrain, as part of a team, an aggressive patient in a safe and therapeutic manner. Able to lift, position or move patients in order to perform (orassist in) searches and procedures. Perform activities requiring manual dexterity. Able to lift 30lbs.
