Job Description

The HIVE is a group within PepsiCo with the mission of creating and nurturing rising, trend-forward, high-potential brands. HIVE Brand teams are structured as lean entrepreneurial teams empowered to take risks and operate outside of bureaucracy to move with agility, test and learn running a brand end-to-end.

Job Summary:

As the Analytics & Insights Manager, you have an innate sense of curiosity. As a core pillar of PEP innovation, the HIVE seamlessly moves from art to science; this role grounds the team in science. Your default arbiter of debate is data. You will not only help shape the data agenda for new-to-world brands but also disseminate our Quick Cycle Innovation methods throughout the broader organization. Your day-to-day will revolve around ingesting and tracking data in the CPG food & beverage ecosystem particularly in innovation channels like eCommerce and Natural. You will support the Data Analytics & Strategy Director on unearthing and tracking digital data signals (e.g. Social) that when combined with commercial scoping/sizing and brand performance analyses will unlock opportunities for breakout innovation. You will also play a pivotal role in the building of analytical tools / KPI frameworks to guide the Hive Brand Teams and PEP Business Units decision-making.


  • Serves as the data expert on all things Digital (Social, Traffic analytics, sentiment analysis, SEO etc.)
  • Understands & generates actionable insights from eComm data (e.g. DTC, performance mkting etc.)
  • Builds visualizations from analytics/insights work
  • Conversant with Point of Sale (Nielsen, IRI, SPINs, One Click Retail etc.) databases and metrics
  • Marry seemingly disparate insights between digital and commercial data points to furnish views on massive, unaddressed (or ripe for real disruption) CPG territories
  • Serves as subject matter expert for digitally-forward F&B CPG category/subcategory dynamics
  • Answers diverse business questions by analyzing and auditing our QCI dashboards and data inputs
  • Immerses in our HIVE brands and external brands performance data
  • Maintains/augments HIVE brands holistic performance dashboard and enables insight-based actions
  • Unlocks new sources of data that impact the innovation agenda from ideation through in-market


  • Understanding and proficiency operating within syndicated databases with demonstrated ability to glean actionable insights from them
  • Experience with digital commerce and digital advertising
  • Proven skill blending diverse data from different platforms, formats and environments
  • Numeracy/comfort around numbers
  • Buy-side / Investment Banking / Management Consulting experience in CPG preferred
  • Fluency in Excel and PowerPoint required
  • Proficiency with visualization platforms (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau etc.) and SQL a big plus
  • Excellent organization, presentation, and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Structured thinker / problem solver
  • Comfort with ambiguity as demonstrated by being able to adapt in less-structured environments
  • Passion for Food & Beverage (and Consumers)
  • Ability to influence and be influenced through maintaining strong views loosely held
