Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review claims, premium, capitation and membership data in support of underwriting, Actuarial and utilization analyses
  • ""
  • Create and update automated processes
  • ""
  • Analyze reporting tools utilized by the internal customer groups
  • ""
  • Produce, review, and present reports to leadership
  • ""
  • Preform research and investigate key business problems through quantitative analyses of utilization and healthcare costs data
  • ""
  • Provides management with statistical findings and conclusions
  • ""
  • Identifies potential areas for medical cost improvements and alternative pricing strategies
  • ""
  • Provides data in support of actuarial, financial and utilization analyses

Required Qualifications:

    ""
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • ""
  • 2+ years of experience working in the healthcare industry
  • ""
  • Financial analysis or accounting experience
  • ""
  • Advanced level of SQL proficiency (ability to evaluate, modify existing code, troubleshoot when needed, and create new code when there is not an existing code to be manipulated)
  • ""
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Access, MS Excel, MS Word, and relationship database concepts
  • ""
  • If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener.
