As a Health & Human Service Lead (HHSL) you need to understand the key industry trends and have a strong understanding of the customers overall business.  The ideal candidate is able to develop and execute a national strategy, have strong relationship development skills, collaborate with a variety of trade associations and influential industry consultants. As the HHSL you will be responsible for shaping our market strategy, engaging with high impact customers and partners to solve our customers most important needs of today and tomorrow with Ciscos best in class solutions. At Cisco you will work nationally and across all organizations & stakeholders.  The ability to be collaborate across organizations and teams outside of your direct teams is critical skill.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

Lead Health and Human Services Business Development practice with the State, Local and Education Business Development team

Define and execute on a strategic market development plan working closely with key internal Cisco stakeholders (sales, product, marketing, partner, legal, government affairs, operations, etc.)

 

Define and size segments, identify and engage key customers, and develop alliances and strategic partnerships with independent software vendors (ISVs) and system integrators.

 

Build net-new executive relationships and sales pipeline through developing new business  with customers and partners.

Be a thought leadership spokesperson at industry events and sponsored engagements.

Understand the technical and business requirements of customers and work closely with internal teams to guide the direction of our product offerings for the HHS vertical.

Present business reviews to the senior management team on progress and roadblocks to extending our reach in the industry.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

5+ years of relevant work experience including positions in a Health and Human Services agency or supporting a Health and Human Services Agency in technology sales, business development or consulting.

Thought Leadership and innovation experience with the public sector innovation agenda, associated public policy, and funding mechanisms a plus

CxO relationships and a large industry network is ideal
