Responsibilities

The Hardware Engineer will assist in research, design, develop, or test computer or computer-related equipment for government customer both on-site and at development facilities. Additionally, under guidance and supervision, the Hardware Engineer will analyze equipment specifications and process requirements to recommend a practical design and determines feasibility from technical and economic perspectives. Work with the government customer to install new or modified hardware. Supported activities and functions will include Release and Development Support, Software and Hardware Management and Control. Provide desk side support to government users.

Specific Responsibilities include:

- Evaluates reliability of materials, properties and techniques used in production; plans, designs and develops electronic parts, components, integrated circuitry, mechanical systems, equipment and packaging, optical systems and/or DSP systems.

- Under general direction, designs and develops equipment, processes and systems that involve data networks, communications, and display.

- Coordinates and consults with research engineers or scientists and customer representatives to resolve design problems.

- Develops and maintains technical procedures, documentation and manuals.

- Compiles and analyzes operational data and directs tests to establish standard for new designs or modifications to existing equipment, systems, or processes.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of TS security clearance with SCI eligibility.
  2. Bachelor's w/ 2-4 yrs. experience, Master's w/ 0-2 yrs. experience, Or related equivalent experience w/o a degree
  3. DIA systems experience.

Desired Qualifications:

  1. STEM degree (e.g., computer science, management information systems, systems engineering).
  2. Experience using Agile systems implementation methodologies.
  3. ITSM professional certification
  4. Any Cloud-related Professional certification(s): [e.g., i. Professional Cloud Solutions Architect (PCSA) ii. AWS Solutions Architect (Professional)], iii. AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, iv. AWS Certified SysOps Administrator (Associate), v. AWS Certified DevOps Engineer (Professional), vi. AWS Certified Big Data (Specialty)]
