Position Description

The Group President of Operations/West Region will report to the COO. This leader will work collaboratively with the key leaders across the current SCA West footprint of CA, AZ and HI and in any extension of that market focus to provide both direct and matrixed leadership in the following areas: strategic, clinical, operational, and fiscal. Additionally, he/she will ensure that the organization has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively grow the organization and ensure financial strength and operating efficiency.

  • Leadership: Developing and implementing market strategy and tactics to enhance SCA
  • ""
  • and OptumCares market share and achieve objectives for the region through working collaboratively with the local Care Delivery Organizations and other partners in the market

  • P&L Management; continue to cultivate and grow current operations in the market, focusing on both top-line and bottom-line growth
  • ""
  • Consultative, solutions-oriented architect who can identify needs, and coordinate partners, assets, expertise and focus to establish and evolve critical relationships with strategic partners (health systems, payers, ACOs, IPAs, etc.)

  • Continue to evolve the business through partnership and impeccable execution.

  • Continue to drive aggressive benchmarking of operational and clinical processes, ensuring optimal efficiency and effectiveness

  • High Growth & Integration Impact operating executive; ability to anticipate market changes and drive performance improvement while simultaneously being attentive to financial performance through top and bottom line revenue and earnings growth

  • Builder; Drives Differentiation Goes beyond day-to-day operations to think through roadmap and strategy; creates differentiation through platforms/ infrastructure and best practices
