Location: 700 Anderson Hill Road, Purchase, NY 10577 Duties: Oversees all activities related to the procurement of fiber-based paperboard wraps, including supporting material planning activities and ensuring adequate production capacity. Manage the movement of paper-based packaging in conjunction with vendors. Develop projection cost modeling for inputs related to fiber-based packaging and cups by enforces quality standards through supplier contracts. Develop value engineering opportunities and process improvements designed to improve landed cost in conjunction with vendors, and partners with Company material planning to improve communication. Work in close coordination with material planners and the supplier production planning team to ensure product availability, and act as a key partner in the execution of requirements planning. Responsible for supply assurance activities including reporting on Days of Supply and managing both active and obsolete inventories, as well as quantifying waste reduction into reduced material cost. Responsible for bidding, negotiating and contracting for the procurement of fiber-based carton board and cup packaging, and ensuring the supplier conforms to terms of contracts. Responsible for creating performance metrics and ensuring supplier compliance by monitoring and reporting on supplier performance relative to assigned standards. Work in conjunction with divisional and supplier quality functions to ensure that material quality performance is established and maintained. Responsible for ensuring adequate production capacity, evaluating capability and adaptability. Supports innovations in response to market demand, integration of acquisitions and is evaluated on driving cost reduction. Maintain relationships with suppliers and regularly confer regarding performance metrics and compliance by monitoring and reporting on supplier performance relative to assigned standards. Analyze production scheduling, capacity and inventories in close coordination with material planning and plant operations, and work to identify risks and opportunities in the supply chain. Act as a key contributor in the innovation lifecycle by driving supplier-led innovation and participating in the necessary analysis and preparation for the introduction of new products. Develop and introduce new suppliers in conjunction with R&D and Quality Control by fully managing the integration of new suppliers. Coordinate adequate warehouse availability for material inputs at the vendor location in conjunction with suppliers, and co-develop distribution and storage planning with vendors. Responsible for the selection and introduction of new suppliers by leading the bidding and request for information and proposal processes. Act as a key contributor to the process mapping required for new technology support, and act as a key stakeholder in the development and execution of the new EDI program with PepsiCo's supply base. Responsible for developing suppliers and discovering new materials that meet the company's sustainability goals, as well as for the development of bamboo fiber as an input for renewable cups. Develop supplier portfolio with particular regard for Company policies on sustainability, labor, resource and water usage. Manage the supplier-led innovation and sustainable input programming, ensuring use of renewable bamboo inputs in paper cups and the use of certified forest products in the paper board portfolio. Qualifications/Requirements Job Requirements: Bachelors degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field and ten (10) years of experience in the job offered or related role. In lieu of a 4-year Bachelors degree, will accept a 3-year degree from an accredited U.S. or foreign university. Must have eight (8) years of experience with: overseeing the commercialization of new packaging; Consumer Package Goods in the Food and Beverages business; and successful purchasing negotiations. Must have experience with: communicating vision, and influencing and gaining alignment with senior management; Excel, PowerPoint and SAP functionality; performing cost analysis for FMGC (Foods & Consumer Goods) Analytics and Modeling; Category management experience, including procurement, supply assurance, vendor management, proven Total Cost of Ownership execution in an international operating model; and developing strategies for low cost packaging alternatives. Travel required up to 15% of the time.
