Job Description

Global Business Services (GBS) organization has been established to provide efficient and effective services to PepsiCo businesses globally, for all sectors, with a great user experience. To enable this purpose, GBS is standing up the Strategy, Transformation, and PMO team and requires a PMO with oversight of the project management and implementation approach. This role will be responsible for the project management and integration of the broader GBS transformation vision, implementation through process and technology, and go-lives on time and within budget across multiple functions. This role will work closely with other workstreams and areas including monitoring of work with functions (e.g., HR, Finance Planning, Sales, Marketing, Insights, IT, Control, Procurement), sectors, hubs, change management, consulting partners, and several key enabler workstreams (e.g., enabling HR, Finance).

The role will perform program management responsibilities for GBS, including executive status reporting, project plan, risk management, key decision documentation, and management of interdependencies across business functions, sectors, and enabling workstreams.

Accountabilities:

General project management

  • Drive the program agenda to ensure cross-functional teams are on track to deliver program timeline, expected benefits and intervene/escalate as necessary to address roadblocks
  • Set timelines, deliverables and agendas for critical milestones across multiple key workstreams in the program including Change Management, Communications, IT, Knowledge Management, Process Excellence, and functional areas (e.g., HR, Finance Planning, Sales, Marketing, Insights, Control, Procurement)
  • Develop and deploy project management tools to drive efficiencies across the program. Accountable for making decisions and identifying areas to improve efficiency in the program
  • Influence, collaborate and partner closely with cross-functional teams of varying senior levels within the organization to ensure successful realization of GBS program goals and deliverables
  • Leverage project management skills and expertise to successfully manage program and serve as a project management (PMI standards and tools) subject matter expert for the Strategy, Transformation, and PMO team
  • Develop and implement integrated initiative specific work plans, reflecting more granular dependencies, milestones, deliverables and deployments. Makes decisions to identify critical risks/issues and implement mitigation plans that impact the overall timeline and economic delivery of the global program
  • Develop and maintain stakeholder registers and resourcing plans
Communications and stakeholder management
  • Facilitate weekly meetings with GBS teams to review status and mitigate risks for implementation- Conduct relationship management with over 6+ GBS global critical workstreams and 10+ global stakeholders across numerous functional, sector, hub, consulting, and enabling workstreams
  • Develop executive-level status reports, presentations, and briefings that articulate GBS vision and project status
Transformation
  • Apply critical thinking and relevant project management methodologies to perform root cause analysis and drive action plans for resolutions and intended outcomes
  • Perform strategic and data analysis to offer business insights for senior leadership in decision-making

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5-7 years of experience with a strong project management background
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Prior consulting or significant project management experience in large scale global organizations is essential
  • Experience in broad transformational implementations or managing complex projects including global coordination
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred (not mandatory)
  • Expert communications, including in-person and virtual meeting facilitation
  • Proficient with MS Office MS Project, Excel, and PowerPoint in particular
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and achieve cross-divisional alignment
  • Results-oriented, adept in conflict resolution, skilled at prioritization and change management
  • Able to work autonomously and be comfortable with ambiguity
  • Able to effectively work in a highly matrixed organization, handling competing priorities and connecting the dots across
  • Ability to drive the agenda, influence, persuasive
  • Strong conceptual and process thinking
