Ciscos Global Corporate Security organization is comprised of multiple teams that work together to support our operations around the globe. Our Mission is: ONE TEAM aligned and focused on ensuring the protection of Ciscos people, property, information, and assets.

The ideal candidate will be an exceptional individual contributor who takes a broad perspective to problem-solving and excels at influencing business decisions with cross functional teams at varying levels of an organization. This role will drive business continuity lifecycle best practices through proactive collaboration/engagement with key stakeholders, customers, and external partners in managing and executing business continuity strategies for Cisco. This is role that sits within Global Corporate Securitys Global Business Resilience team and will work across corporate functions, initially focusing on Sales and Finance

You will be a valued, respected, and trusted partner to the business. You will be viewed by the business as a subject matter expert in business continuity management, who actively supports business initiatives, shares best practices, and delivers valued guidance.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Oversee EMEAR GBR operations, program deliverables, and compliance requirements
  • Partner with GBR Leader on Critical Supplier resiliency assessment program
  • Assist with the program activities around Cisco BC and DR certifications (Fedramp, eSoc2, Sox, Cloud Service Offerings, ISO)
  • Governance and oversight of GBR life-cycle activities for Ciscos Finance and Sales organizations
  • Support compliance reviews with mandated regulatory and privacy requirements
  • Enhance and monitor metrics and control plans to show achievement of business continuity KPIs
  • Conduct plan development, training, and exercise workshops with EMEAR business units to raise business continuity awareness and preparedness for crisis or business disruptive events
  • Support GBR programs implementation and execution of various ISO Certifications
  • Benchmark industry best practices and drive continuous improvement for the GBR Program
  • Support incident/crisis management activities and response for Europe
  • Design and complete exercises, document a schedule of tests for the year, and maintain/execute the schedule
  • Assist with compiling documentation for all BCP related test events and remediation
  • Research & analyze complex processes, procedures, policies, and organizational structures, and recommend changes to GBR program
  • Support the development and implementation of an on-going training and awareness activities to ensure that knowledge is developed and proactively provided to key stakeholders
  • Contribute to the design, implementation and monitoring of internal indicators and metrics which enable the firm to understand and improve its performance and assess its efficiency and effectiveness
  • Collaborate across the business, to continually identify the operations, processes and technologies required in building and maintain optimal recovery plans/arrangements
  • Assist with developing best practice and excellence for all sourcing, outsourcing and vendor management related topics across the business
  • Perform Third Party Risk Management assessment on vendor engagements related to BCM, coordinate assessment across departments and review function-specific internal risk assessments
  • Ensure supplier governance is implemented and carried out according to the contractual obligations, best practices, and internal policies
  • Support additional Corporate Security Group initiatives in EMEAR Region

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant work experience in Business Continuity
  • CBCP or CBCI certification
  • ISO 27001 and 23001 compliance experience
  • Experience working in a complex, cross-functional global company
  • Vendor management business contingency assurance program management
  • Expert knowledge of the business continuity planning process and the stages of a disaster as it relates to mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery
  • Thorough interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills, including a demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and in a team or collaborative environment
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly, efficiently, and effectively and in a manner that meets the needs of diverse audiences, to include senior-level leadership
  • Produce written documents and policies with clearly organized thoughts using proper English sentence construction, punctuation, grammar
