Responsibilities

Provide Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) services and guidance to a Lead Systems Engineer supporting SE&I for local Customers and external IC partners, IT and real infrastructure improvements, evolving mission development, facility renovations, and transitions to new operations in accordance with extended enterprise SE&I standard practices and regional Operating Instructions and Directives, to ensure stakeholder requirements are considered and understood.

This Field Engineer will: Support Power, Space & Cooling (PSC) triage processes; Enterprise data center planning and integration; Strategic Requirements Planning; Integrated Master Schedule reconciliation; and Configuration/ Change Management (CM) processes; Work with regional Sites and headquarters deployment organizations to establish, oversee and enforce regional standard CM practices and processes; Assist with deployment integration planning, and support management of deployments, system configurations, and associated equipment and maintain control of site CM documentation to include floor plans, facility infrastructure baselines and operational baselines.

Based on various charters: assist with planning agendas, aiding in discussions, preparing minutes, etc. for forums, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and other Working Groups; Collaborating across the regional and global Field Sites to share tools, promote continuous process improvement, provide feedback and conduct lessons learned activities to standardize Systems Engineering across the Extended Enterprise, developing SE&I technical artifacts.

Qualifications

Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:

  • Bachelors degree in an Engineering field of study with 15 years: Masters with 13 years; PhD with 13 years of overall Systems Engineering [SE] experience or High School/ GED w/19+yrs SE Experience.
  • Lead contractor systems engineering activities for projects to include supervising the work of the project engineering staff and technicians.
  • Five or more years experience supporting programs and projects within this customer space.
  • Position requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
  • Work independently/ led and provide direction on SE Tasks and assignments as directed by the Chief of CIP.

Individual Capabilities/Experience Desired:

  • Capabilities Baseline by site/system & master schedule management; Communication with local organizations/ regional components/ stakeholders for SE Support and Situational Awareness.
  • Monitor, development and maintenance of System Outage reference framework artifacts supporting system outage/ impact/ dependencies. (e.g. outage=Impact to x,y,z capabilities)
  • Facilitation of Change/ Configuration Boards, including analysis of interdependencies between systems deployed in the region, and proposed changes.
  • Monitoring and/or maintenance / integrity of databases and other report and data base repositories).
  • Development, refinement, or implementation management of processes and workflows for requirements/ configuration/ change management, etc
