Unit Description

Sodexo Corporate Services is looking for a General Manager/Chef Manager to join our team at LRA cafe located in the Transamerica building located in the Inner Harbor of Baltimore MD! The food landscape consists of 1 corporate cafe and catering operations with a total MV of 625K. This location serves as a host kitchen for another unit in the area

 

The General Manager/Chef Manager is the number 1 for the operation in addition to be the chef.  Duties include but not limited to: 

  • managing budget/finances
  • leading and developing a team of 1 salaried chef manager and 7 hourly employees
  • menu planning
  • ordering
  • inventory
  • hands on culinary about 60% of the time
  • food and labor cost
  • safety and sanitation
  • client interaction.

Ideal candidate will be a highly motivated with excellent customer services skills and attention to details. 

 

This position offers a traditional Business and Industry, predominantly Monday through Friday, scheduleAccrue 3 weeks of paid vacation per year (first year pro-rated based on date of hire).  Medical Benefits beginning date of hire, and 401K with company match eligible.

Position Summary

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account

Key Duties- Provides team leadership & training- Controls unit financials- Directs daily food operations for quality & safety standards- Supervises day to day activities - Delegates authority- Assigns & prioritizes activities- Monitors operating standards- Establishes a safe work environment10: Support workplace inclusion activities

C/S: Culinary focus with ADMIN responsibilities.  Limited menu, basic program 

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 2 years
