**Sodexo** has a great opportunity for you as a **General Manager 5** for **University of Vermont (UVM)** located in **Burlington, VT.** At **University of Vermont** the General Manager will report to the Resident District Manager. Oversee 4 resident dining operations and 8 retail operations, and 3 subcontracted locations to include local brands. Also manage vending operations for campus through Campus Vending Solutions. Responsible for the managing the individual profit centers, manager development and accountability, renovation projects and program innovations. Oversees the catering director, sustainability manager, 2 operations directors, marketing admin, and Campus Executive Chef and large management team of 18 managers. Candidate needs to be strongly committed and have experience in farm to table sustainability growth, student and employee engagement including strong multicultural competency.

+ has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;

+ can demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and

+ can demonstrate working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management Systems (FMS) and Market Connections (MSC), and is proficient in computer skills and report management experience.

**Position Summary**


Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.

Provides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day to day operations.

**Qualifications & Requirements**


Basic Education Requirement - Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
