Sodexo is seeking a General Manager for Springmoor Life Care Retirement Community in Raleigh, NC. 

 

$3,000 Sign On Bonus!

 

This is a 615 Resident Continuing Care Retirement Community. Raleigh is rich in history with top-tier technology, education, and life science institutions.  Dining at Springmoor is as visually pleasing as it is delicious.  Sodexo provides Restaurant-style dining in both the North Village and South Village, attractively designed with large windows overlooking exquisite grounds. For more casual options theres a Garden Caf©, a Village Bistro, and we have a private dining room for family events and special occasions.

 

This candidate will be responsible for a 5 Star Dining Program with oversight of quality systems and standards.  Responsibilities include; the development of client and resident relations, managing a team of six Sodexo managers who oversee 50 employees, P&L management with 5 million in volume, HACCP monitors for Regulatory Compliance, daily interactions with residents and clients to provide exceptional customer service and program enhancements.

Ideally, qualified candidates will have the following experience:

  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or enrolled in a program
  • Experience with food service operations in restaurant, hotel or senior living environment is desired.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising a food service team and exceptional human resource and supervisory/management/training skill-set.
  • A strong production culinary background, ideally in an upscale food service setting.
  • Background in catering, including menu planning, food production, and food presentation.
  • Ability to effectively communicate to multiple audiences and develop strong relationships with customers at all levels. This position will have direct resident and client contact.
  • A focus on food consistency and quality and ability to positively impact resident satisfaction through food presentation and quality.
  • Ability to multitask and proven effectiveness in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of forecasting, food cost management, purchasing, inventory and labor management concepts.
  • Ability to successfully engage, lead and develop a team.
  • Ability to creatively and effectively problem solve and manage projects as well as take on additional duties as needed.
  • Computer skills to work in Financial, Food & Labor Management Systems
  • Servsafe certified as well as working knowledge of HACCP and experience with Health and Safety audits. 
  • Dynamic leadership skills for outcomes that exceed client and resident expectations

Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.Provides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day to day operations.Key Duties- Directs all contract services.- Oversees management/administrative team who are responsible for special functions, cash control and payroll.- Customer and client satisfaction- Drives growth - Financial management

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience  

Basic Management Experience - 5 years              

Basic Functional Experience - 5 years
