Sodexo is seeking a Dietary Director for its operations at Greenwood House a skilled nursing community located Ewing, NJ. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned, entrepreneurial manager who is constantly seeking a better way to conduct business. This key leadership position is directly responsible for the successful operation of Dining Services. The Dietary Director ensures client, customer service/satisfaction with efficient cost-effective management that both meets and exceeds expectations.

 

The successful candidate will:

  • be responsible for the oversight of residential dining services, catering and special events;
  • have for full financial oversight of the account, including budgeting and reporting;
  • provide technical training and expertise, coaching and leadership to the production team while working side by side in the operation as needed;
  • work to obtain optimum client and customer satisfaction;
  • Manages the Food Management System;
  • create a positive customer service driven environment, drives employee engagement and customer satisfaction through strong leadership skills;
  • integrate fully within our client's organization becoming a trusted advisor with a customer service focus;
  • strive to achieve company and client financial targets and goals;
  • work to achieve high quality resident satisfaction;
  • ensure compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards;
  • meet (or exceed) Sodexo standards of operations.

Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who:

  • have a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization;
  • have a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM), or willing to obtain wihtin 6 months of employment;
  • possess the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and exhibit a passion for a high-level of customer service;
  • have skilled nursing or hospitals experience;
  • have culinary understanding and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance;
  • have commercial acumen and a good level of computer literacy;
  • are enthusiastic, confident and warm.

Position Summary

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client accountProvides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day to day operations.Key Duties- Provides team leadership & training- Controls unit financials- Directs daily food operations for quality & safety standards- Supervises day to day activities - Delegates authority- Assigns & prioritizes activities- Monitors operating standards- Establishes a safe work environment- Support workplace inclusion activities  

 

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experienceBasic Management Experience - 3 yearsBasic Functional Experience - 3 years
