Unit Description

Sodexo, leader in quality of life services, has an immediate opening for a General Manager 2 of Food Service to mange the food operations at Kessler Rehab Hospital in Marlton, NJ.  Kessler Rehab Hospital has 61 beds, 15 employees and just under 1 million in volume.  Account also includes a 10 bed pediatric rehab unit / non-union / full service / Fee Account.

 

Candidate must have a CDM, or in be in the process of obtaining one OR have a Nutrition Degree (CNM / RD), etc., for consideration. 

 

Must understand operational excellence as well as the ability to build client relationships and pursue new business opportunities to enhance profitability. This proven leader will direct business practices with a focus on upholding the Companys mission and values, tasked with being the developer of new and emerging business solutions for sustained growth and effective day-to-day operations. 

 

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Recruit, hire, train and evaluate all front line employees
  • Distribute and analyze weekly Sodexo Surveys, Annual Employee Satisfaction Surveys, bi-annual customer satisfaction surveys
  • Demonstrates in-depth financial management expertise including interpreting analyzing and explaining financial data.
  • Has experience managing in a union environment
  • Maintains cash control and payroll records
  • Maintains customer satisfaction and excellent public relations
  • Manages through managers and is accountable for the contractual obligations.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Proven client relationship skills
  • has a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively;
  • has culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance;
  • has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;
  • can demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and
  • can demonstrate working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management Systems (FMS) and Market Connections (MSC), and is proficient in computer skills and report management experience
