Job Description

We are currently seeking a Food Safety Manager for Aramarkat the University of Cincinnati located in Cincinnati, OH. The Food Safety Manager will coordinate efforts targeting a holistic approach to assist the organization with implementation of safety and risk control programs, processes and proceduresto protect people, property, environment and company assets. This position will function as a strategic operational support generalist to enhance safety and risk process improvements. This role will also function as a key point of contact for addressing operational needs as they relate to occupational safety, food safety & sanitation, and environmental compliance,employee training and supportexecutionof allAramarksafety process & procedures. Training and coaching of location management teams and staff is a main function within this role. This position will require travel to other accounts to monitor food and occupational safety standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • Help Coach and Leadstaff in accordance with the University of Cincinnati andAramarkstandards
  • Work closely with Aramark Safety & RiskControl, AramarkDistrictManager,Location General Managers,and Clients to review, implement and enforce Aramark's SAFECommitment
  • Develop and Support plan to ensure all locations are inspection ready at all times.
  • Act as the University of Cincinnati's DOH subject matter expert
  • Assist supportedlocations, site basedmanagement teamsto effectively execute against safetystandards and requirements
  • Assure highest levels of Guest Service and Quality Control for all supportedevents
  • Maintain working relationship with local and regionalcomplianceand regulatoryauthorities (Local /County Health, etc.)
  • Coordinate and Support Safety Meeting /CommitteeStructure
  • Conduct internalwork safety and food safety assessments; follow-up with corrective actions resulting from assessmentsbyexternal agencies.
  • Work as the leader ofeach supportedteam to providehigh quality guest experience.
  • Ensure the location has the current Aramarksafetystandards and procedure documentation in place.
  • Verify the implementation and execution of Aramark safety standards and procedures
  • Accompany Health Department / RegulatoryInspectors during on-site inspections and respond to regulatory non-compliance and to the best of ability - mitigate or limit any future inspection violations.
  • Effectively manage internal and externalcorrective action processes to comply with regulatory requirements to identify cause, address problems, restore control, evaluate and monitor processes, modify procedures or improve the overallsafety system approach, and prevent recurrences.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required- Safety &Health, Business Administration, or Public HealthDegreePreferred
  • 2+years of occupational and/ or food safety experience.
  • Certified ServSafe Instructor is preferred or ability to obtain certification within first 6 months of employment
  • Flexibilityto work withina dynamicworkenvironmentand a matrix stylereporting structure
  • ExcellenceCommunication skills - verbal and written.
  • Computer essentials; Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Possesses StrongCoaching,Influencing & Negotiating skills.
  • Comfortable in providing training and coaching to management and hourly employees.
  • Ability to proactively assess location food and occupational needs, assist in finding solutions to needs in conjunction with operational team
  • Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Previous management/training experience required.
  • Previous occupational, food, and/or culinary experience in a high volume venue or health orregulatorydepartment preferred
  • Candidate must be willing to work event based hours - including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
