Job Description

Food for Good was launched in 2009 by a small group of enterprising PepsiCo employees who wanted to make a meaningful impact in their communities. We saw an opportunity to use PepsiCo's logistical expertise and technological know-how to serve children in low-income communities who didn't have access to nutritious breakfasts, lunches, and snacks.

The position will be responsible for establishing and developing the Food for Good program throughout the city and surrounding region. This role will be multidisciplinary including distribution of meals, managing warehouse operations, and growth of Food for Goods operations, relationships, and impact in the city.

Responsibilities:

  • As City Lead you must have the ability to do/backup all roles in the warehouse (Packing, Loading, Driving)

  • Supervise all of Food for Goods daily operations in the designated region.

  • Ensure accurate, on-time deliveries of meals to community locations.

  • Manage warehouse operations and product orders.

  • Be the key contact point for customers in that region.

  • Lead the local relationship with building landlords and building maintenance.

  • Manage the city fleet to include all safety and registration needs.

  • Be the safety lead for the location and ensure all safety compliance needs are met.

  • Loading delivery vans and driving vans to make deliveries to partners or events

  • Establish and nurture deep, high-trust relationships with local nonprofit organizations. Understand their objectives and develop strategies on how best to partner with them.

  • Analyze and report on key program information, budget, metrics, and insights. Conduct regular program reviews focused on data-based lessons learned and forward-looking improvements.

  • Monitors the success of community and volunteer engagement strategies and makes course corrections in order to meet the established goals

Qualifications/Requirements

Requirements:

  • Proven track record leading a large warehouse and delivery driver staff

  • Track record of delivering exceptional customer service

  • Experience managing suppliers and inventory accurately and with minimal waste

  • This position requires previous leadership in community engagement, strong public speaking and writing skills, and the ability to manage staff and volunteers

  • The candidate will be an energetic individual with initiative, imagination, strong organizational, strategic, and interpersonal skills, and have experience and demonstrated success at working with volunteers or related audiences

  • Demonstrate enthusiasm and the ability to collaborate with staff and volunteers, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

  • Experience with fleet and basic facilities management

  • Preferred to have a Class B license or higher (e.g., Class A, CDL)

  • Strong relational, collaborative, and communication skills

  • Willingness to embrace ambiguity and a dynamic environment

  • Positive, highly-motivated, problem-solving attitude

  • Detail orientation

  • Effective time management and strong prioritization skills

  • Willingness to accommodate a flexible schedule that varies with seasonal duties

  • Functional PC skills including Microsoft Excel and Word
