Primary Responsibilities:

• Analyze and report on financials and partner with senior leaders to collaboratively manage budgets
""
• Assist with periodic forecast and budget creation for business leadership
""
• Forecast staffing needs and partner with project managers, subject matter experts and leadership to develop workforce tools -experience with Activity-Based costing
""
• Collaborate with segment finance to understand and demonstrate complex concepts in ways that lead to understanding by a variety of audiences
""
• Conduct cost-benefit analysis, calculate cost impact, summarize and present to a larger audience
""
• Understand Government Accounting concepts and practices and translate to Optum financial reporting within a matrix P&L environment with multiple finance and operational relationships
""
• Analyze variances to forecast and Budget
""
• Understand, monitor and analyze the Capital projects including charges from other organizations and Cap Contra and facilitate a methodology for charging the Capitalized SW to government contracts
""
• Coordinate intra-segment charges from multiple sources to retain necessary contract records and detail, and monitor proposed profitability within Costpoint
""
• Take a leadership role in the development and distribution of project and management financial reports
""
• Coordinate and track Government allocations across multiple pillars and organizations and the associated methodologies

Required Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
""
• 3+ years of financial and operational management experience
""
• 1+ years of experience working in a federal cost accounting environment
""
• Prior work experience anticipating accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, and operational issues, assessing their implications, and developing and implementing an appropriate action plan
""
