Overview

This position is responsible for building and maintaining a book of business by using effective prospecting and sales skills to convert prospects and assisting clients in meeting financial goals by recommending appropriate plans and products.  Performs any functions, within scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to customers and coworkers.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Create internal and external marketing plan and monitor throughout the year.  Offer suggestions to help the program grow, improve, and evolve. 
  • Help individuals identify their unique financial needs and objectives:
    • Establish and define the client/advisor relationship
    • Gather data, including goals, analyze and evaluate financial status
    • Develop and present financial planning recommendations and/or alternatives
    • Monitor all recommendations
  • Recommend plans and products to help clients achieve goals, identify appropriate investment and insurance products.
  • Comply with all FINRA/SEC/CFN compliance regulations, satisfy continuing education requirements.
  • Provide personal client service.
  • Develop and sustain relationships with other in-house professionals and strategic alliances
  • Stay current on industry developments; service and product enhancements; regulatory issues and clients needs.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with prescribed regulatory compliance guidelines.  Ensures full compliance with the Banks Information Security Policies and Procedures.
  • Performs related and unrelated duties as may be required.

Requirements

Bachelors Degree or equivalent in related field.  Licenses required: FINRA Series 7, 63, 65, or 66 securities registrations.  Five to eight years of experience in sale of retail investments, preferably bank-based.  Life/Health licenses, Clean U4 with no findings. Excellent knowledge and communication of products, including mutual funds, stocks, bonds, annuities and advisory platform. Excellent people skills including active listening, effective communication and professional demeanor. Ability to establish rapport with clients and coworkers.
