The MAPS GEN I Field Service Representative (FSR) serves as a technical expert in areas relevant to the project. Must be capable of understanding and operating the system with the ability to convey how the system functions. Produces and reviews technical documentation reflecting detailed knowledge of specific technical area. Recommends measures to improve methods, performance, and quality of product or service, and suggests changes to increase efficiency. The FSR will perform field and sustainment maintenance for initializing, placing into operation, troubleshooting and sustaining the hardware and software interfaces for the Enhanced DAGR Distributed Device (ED3) and related components comprising the MAPS GEN I system. This position will support U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Commands (CECOM) Positioning, Navigation and Timing program. This position is located in Fort Bliss, TX. PM PNT will provide the necessary training to the selected candidate in order to support this equipment.

FSR will provide on-site labor and materials required for sustainment at Fort Bliss, TX. The support will coincide with the 1 AD operational hours, generally Monday thru Friday; 0800 -1600hrs. The FSR will ensure all systems are fully mission capable and performing their wartime mission. These duties include:

  • Performing field and sustainment maintenance and preventive maintenance.
  • Install, configure, and maintain the MAPS GEN I System
  • perform logistics support including but not limited to: warranty and non-warranty repairs, equipment upgrade, and routine tasks determined to be a related administrative action
  • Ensure proper initial installation as well as subsequent installations of updates/patches.
  • Perform regular checks of system components for errors and application of necessary corrective action.
  • Troubleshoot problems and take corrective action on a timely and effective basis.
  • Provide routine status updates to organizational leadership.
  • Support a monthly Logistics Maintenance Review (LMR) with the MAPS GEN I fielding team IAW CDRL B002
  • Collect and analyze failure and usage data to aid in future FRACAS analysis.


08 years experience as a C5ISR Field Service Representative

Active Secret Clearance

Previous experience with U.S. Army fighting vehicles (Stryker, Abrams, Bradley, or Paladin), C5ISR platforms (BFT, JBC-P, etc.), and PNT equipment (PLGR, DAGR, D3).

DoD 8570 IAT General User

Previous experience with the Common Hardware Systems (CHS) contract vehicle desired

Anticipated travel up to 25% of the time
