Unit Description

Sodexo Government Services is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Coordinator for the New York State Thruway Authority contract, with an office located in Ramsey, NJ. The Facilities Maintenance Coordinator will report directly to the Executive Director of Facilities. This role will be responsible for planning and scheduling all Work Orders for General Maintenance workers and subcontractors for the maintenance of 27 New York State Thruway Authority (NYSTA) travel service plazas.


Combine your proven leadership and facilities management technical expertise to provide the highest level of service, innovation, and quality to enhance existing (or new) client programs including short and long range planning, construction/renovation projects, preventative and corrective maintenance, waste refuse and recycling management, grounds and landscaping. 


The ideal candidate will have:

  • proven track record of successful facilities management experience as demonstrated by articulated results and accomplishments, as it relates to receiving and assigning Work Orders;
  • strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, safety systems, architectural, waste, and grounds/landscaping, as it relates to receiving and assigning Work Orders;
  • strong Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) skills, Maximo with P2P experience is preferred;
  • strong work experience with collecting, analyzing, and reporting Work Order data, including financial data;
  • strong work experience with procuring tools, materials, and equipment, as needed for Work Order assignments;
  • strong work order experience in assigning, scheduling, prioritizing, and emergency response;
  • experience with material and equipment procurement and subcontract management; and
  • exceptional customer service, relationship building, and communication skills.

Position Summary

Serves as working lead supervisor or coordinator to schedule the activities of skilled trades, custodial or grounds workers engaged in maintaining and repairing equipment, structures, utility systems, buildings, and grounds. Gives work assignments to workers as needed for maintenance. Performs administrative functions and services. Leads in building maintenance projects.
