**Unit Description**

**Sodexo Corporate Services** is looking for an **Executive Chef 2 t** o join our team at Marathon Petroleum in San Antonio TX! The current food landscape consists of 1 Corporate Cafe, with a We proudly Brew Starbucks and Catering Operations.

The **Executive Chef 2** willhave direct oversight, where Sodexo provides breakfast and lunch. The Chef will lead a small team of 6 front-line employees. The **Executive Chef 2** will be responsible for producing great food for our caf and catering operations. In addition, the **Executive Chef 2** will be instrumental in elevating the food offering. Other duties include but not limited to:

+ Hands on cooking with the culinary staff about 70% to 80% of the time

+ Supports all facets of daily culinary production including all daily retail and catering production, deployment of theMindful focus

+ Menu creation and food costing

+ Strong focus on high quality food presentation

+ All food production training, quality control, and outcomes

+ Ordering.

+ Inventory

+ Food and labor cost

+ Strong compliance with HACCP and Food Safety

+ Managing a team of up to 10 hourly employees

+ Leading, training and coaching staff

The best qualified candidate will have excellent leadership experience and a focus on safety and sanitation and quality and standards. We are looking for someone with great communication and training skills. This is a culinary management role, but will also be hands-on as needed to support operations.

This position offers a traditional Business & Industry, Predominately M-F scheduled. **Accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation per year (first year pro-rated based on date of hire). Medical Benefits beginning date of hire, and 401K with company match eligible.**

**Position Summary**

Provides culinary leadership within a medium sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training. Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution.

Key Duties

- Implements & coordinates the culinary function.

- Directs & trains cooks & utility workers.

- Ensures food preparation & production meets operational standards.

- Manages catering & retail areas.

- Customer & Client satisfaction.

- Financial management to include food cost & labor management.

- Manages food & physical safety programs.

**Qualifications & Requirements**

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 2 years

Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
