Sodexo designs, manages and delivers comprehensive service solutions through On-site Service Solutions and Motivation Solutions to create an outstanding experience for the people we serve. MedStar Georgetown University Hospital is a not-for-profit Hospital Center is licensed for 360 beds. We are looking for experiences culinarians that will assist us in making creating a culinary program that will lead the way in this area.  We are looking for and Executive Chef  to join the team to provide culinary leadership, training and assist in stepping the program up from a culinary perspective.

Are you the experienced  Executive Chef were seeking?

 

We are looking for candidates who will:

  •  have oversight of day-to-day operations;
  •  deliver high quality food for patient services;
  •  achieve company and client financial targets and goals;
  •  develop and maintain client and customer relationships;
  •  develop strategic plans;
  •  create a positive environment; and
  •  ensure Sodexo Standards are met. The ideal candidate:
  •  has a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively;
  •  has culinary production experience and a strong background in food safety and sanitation compliance;
  •  has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;
  •  can demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and
  •  can demonstrate working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management Systems (FMS) and Market Connections (MSC), and is proficient in computer skills and report management experience.

360 bed facility with small scale retail space and patient menu covers several modified diets.

Position Summary

Provides culinary leadership within a small sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training.  Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through executionKey Duties-Executes the culinary function-Customer & Client satisfaction-Manages food & physical safety program.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experienceBasic Management Experience - 2 years Basic Functional Experience 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
