Sodexo is seeking four Executive Chef 1 professionals for an account in the Greater Austin area. With oversight of 7 campuses  and the teams that support them, we are looking for an individual who can implement Sodexo programs and systems while focusing on compliance with USDA Standards within this large and fast growing school district. This is a key role in establishing and maintaining an exceptionally high level of culinary standards. Our successful candidate will also support catering functions. The successful candidate will:

  • Be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production
  • Ensure Sodexo and USDA Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented
  • Have the ability and willingness to motivate, coach, mentor and develop frontline hourly team
  • Provide stellar customer and client service
  • Ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance 
  • Have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems.

Provides culinary leadership within a small sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training.  Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through executionKey Duties-Executes the culinary function-Customer & Client satisfaction-Manages food & physical safety program.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experienceBasic Management Experience - 2 years Basic Functional Experience 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
