Sodexo Corporate Services has an exciting opportunity for an Executive Chef 1/Sous Chef for our high profile account Oracle in Reston Virginia! The current food landscape consists of 1 Corporate Cafe and catering operations. We serve Breakfast and Lunch with a total Managed Volume of $1.3 million.

 

As the Executive Chef 1/Sous Chef you will be responsible for overall preparation & presentation of food, menu development and execution, cost management, HR functions, training of production staff and overseeing the food safety program. In addition the Executive Chef 1/Sous Chef works closely with the catering manager to manage all catered events.  Works with catering manager to arrange and follow through on all catering details and to ensure all special requests are met. Develops menu/costing.

 

Ideal Executive Chef 1/Sous Chef candidate will have exceptional communication skills, possess strong leadership, an eye for high end restaurant quality food, and a high level of organization. A strong focus in customer service, culinary expertise and attention to detail are key in our selection process.  Computer skills and basic accounting skills are required.  

 

This position offers a traditional Business and Industry, predominantly Monday through Friday, schedule. Position Summary

Provides culinary leadership within a small sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training.  Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through executionKey Duties-Executes the culinary function-Customer & Client satisfaction-Manages food & physical safety program.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experienceBasic Management Experience - 2 years Basic Functional Experience 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
