We have defined our new HR Operating model at Prudential and it requires all Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) to operate as strategic, business leaders with a focus in the areas of: high-impact talent, organization effectiveness, performance management, and Diversity & Inclusion (D&I). 

Prudential Retirement, part of the Workplace Solutions Group (WSG), comprises approximately 1,450 associates and is looking for a strong executive assistant to provide support to the Head of HR, Retirement.  The incumbent in this role will partner with the HR team, and other administrative support functions, to deliver high-impact planning and support. 



  • Maintains the highest levels of confidentiality while handling sensitive business information

  • Performs administrative support functions for the Head of Human Resources, Retirement

  • Performs travel and meeting planning, email monitoring and calendaring activities, attendance tracking, expense management, and invoice processing. Arranges video and teleconference calls.

  • Plans team sessions, conferences and other events

  • Performs appropriate Procurement processing activities

  • Supports onboarding of new hires (full-time associates and consultants) and off-boarding of terminated personnel

  • Performs administrative duties including photocopying, faxing, filing, and records retention activities, as required.

  • Supports the Head of HR with agenda planning for key meetings; proactively follows up with direct reports on any meeting takeaways

  • Consistently tracks key deliverables based on email monitoring

  • Receives incoming mail and retains and maintains hard copy and electronic files, as needed

  • Assists with the dissemination of all communications ensuring accuracy, timely completion, and meeting specific deadlines

  • Helps prepare presentation materials, as appropriate

  • Ensures that the team is achieving its enterprise risk and human resource requirements within deadlines

  • Backs up other executive assistants in their absence, as needed

  • Takes on additional tasks, as requested

  • Associates degree or equivalent work experience
  • 7 plus years of financial services and / or client service administrative experience, supporting C-Level executives
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint; knowledge of Microsoft Project and Access is a plus

  • Strong knowledge of Prudentials business and administrative procedures, preferred

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to successfully juggle multiple priorities

  • Can operate autonomously but also serve as a strong team contributor

  • Analytical skills with a high degree of attention to detail

  • Superior project coordination skills

  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify process improvements to improve productivity and efficiency

  • Strong and attentive listening skills with the ability to analyze the situation and draw appropriate conclusions

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

  • Experience with Workday a plus
