**ROLE SUMMARY**



The Artwork Planning Specialist is responsible for assembling, recording and managing data and information associated with the creation, approval, communication and implementation of new or revised artwork for contract manufactured products managed by External Supply as well as for internal PGS packaging sites. He/she/they manages operational communication between the ES team, ALIM/the markets, the contract manufacturers, PGS packaging sites and the outsourced artwork center (AWC) for all aspects related to artwork changes and new artwork development.



**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**



Artwork change management:



+ Act as a central point for communication between the ES supply chain teams, ALIM/the markets, the contract manufacturers, PGS packaging sites and the outsourced artwork center for all tasks and issues related to artwork changes and new artwork development.

+ Set priorities for artwork development/change execution by the AWC, in line with product segmentation and in close cooperation with the Planning Team.

+ Actively follow up with ALIM/markets, contract manufacturers, planners and other people involved in the artwork change process to comply to requested implementation timeline in the artwork request and to prevent delays which may lead to stock outs.

+ Have a tracker with all on-going artwork changes available to key stakeholders like supply chain planning, project leads, but also to colleagues.

+ Report (potentially) significant issues to the ES planning teams and work closely with the ES planning teams and market to set a plan forward.

+ Be actively involved inthe implementation of new supply chains involving External Supply (site divestments with trailing supply agreement, product transfers, product launched, new businesses). Report back to the project team in a structured and timely manner. Report potential issues early in the process and seek for solutions.

+ Monitor and regularly review approval lead times to identify issues with delayed approval. Initiate and monitor corrective actions to solve occasional and systematic issues with delayed artwork approval;

+ Lead or Assist in the implementation ofnew supply chains involvingExternal Supply (site divestments with trailing supply agreement, product transfers, product launches, new businesses). Report back to the project team in a structured and timely manner. Report potential issues early in the process and seek for solutions.

+ Back up team leader for certain tasks such as leading the team meetings, generate reports, put together KPI's, represent ES Artwork team

+ Represent the artwork team within Pfizer global projects such as serialization, Brexit and legal entity changes. Actively follow up of timely issuance of PARs by ALIM/market for the whole team. Create trackers, reports and metrics for the full team's scope and report back to the project team in a structured and timely manner. Report potential issues early in the process and seek for solutions.



Artwork systems and processes:



+ Optimize and implement processes for requesting, gathering, and documentation of data and information for implementation of new or revised artwork;

+ Evaluate process robustness at contractors as needed, and identify/implement opportunities to enhance artwork processes. Take the lead in this exercise.

+ Monitor and regularly review approval lead times to identify issues with delayed approval. Seek for corrective actions to solve occasional and systematic issues with delayed artwork approval. Follow up on corrective actions and evaluate efficacy.

+ Lead or Participate in cross functional limited duration teams that work on process/system improvements globally to represent the team. Seek input from team members as needed. Report back on decisions taken and train the team as needed.

+ Build excellent knowledge of Pfizer artwork management system called ePALMS.

+ Act as a key contact for questions/set up of our VMR vendors in the ePALMS system

+ Training and coaching of new colleagues in the artwork process as well as the ePALMS system

+ Become Subject Matter Expert for particular subprocess and/or system. Works with system owners/process owners/users to look for optimizations. Train the team.

+ Work within Pfizer's global SOPs and PQS related to artwork. Be expert in and work within all local artwork SOPs.

Relationship with the AWC:



+ Ensure PARs hold all critical information required for artwork development and completion including files: templates, text or annotated PDFs, packing site requirements etc.

+ First point of contact for questions from the AWC. Liaise with ALIM/market or the packaging site as needed to resolve any unclarities.

+ Work directly with the AWC for technically difficult projects. Provide clear instructions and test case where needed. Ensure artworks are consistent within projects towards design and lay out.

+ Significant/potentially significant issues which have, or could have, an impact on supply performance are immediately notified to the Manager Artwork Change Management and taken up with the AWC management for prompt resolution;

+ Key contact for the AWC for all communication and interaction relating to operational management of the artwork change or creation activities;

+ Keep track of the performance of the OAWC in terms of timely supply of new/revised artwork as required by the service agreement.



**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**



+ Bachelor degree in commercial or technical area (Economics, Trade or Management)

+ Some experience in Manufacturing Planning / Supply Chain / Logistics

+ Fluent in English. Knowledge of other European languages s.a. French, German, Italian, Spanish is considered as valuable asset



**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**



+ Experience as a graphic designer is considered as a valuable asset

+ Project management experience

+ Supply chain or project management certifications a plus; CPIM, CSCP, PMP, etc

+ Experience in working in the virtual plant / contract manufacturing environment



**PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS**



**NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS**



+ Expect 'off-hours' conference calls to accommodate time zone differences.

+ International travel - based on supply chain management requirements

+ Travel requirement; 5%
