This is"an Analyst-level role based in Nashville, TN responsible for implementing and optimizing"the Epic suite of applications and the systems on which they are delivered. Help"with defining, building and maintaining the Cach database within a cloud-based"framework. The Operational Database Administrator (ODBA) will both partner with"and support the Epic Client Services Administrator and others to monitor, tune"and update the database architecture for optimized client needs and to meet"Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Primary"Responsibilities:

""
  • Install, configure and maintain databases (Oracle, Microsoft SQL"Server, Intersystem Cach) within a cloud-based infrastructure
  • Perform technical operations like monitoring and maintenance,"problem investigation and resolution, backup creation and maintenance, database"optimization and tuning, etc.
  • Apply all server-side updates"to all production (PRD) and non-production (non-PRD) Cach environments
  • Collaborate with the"ECSA/ECSM to ensure application updates are installed as scheduled
  • Implement and schedule valid database backups and plan"for recovery, restore or restart activities should they be necessary
  • Plan and implement database"security policies according to organizational, industry and vendor standards
  • Stay up to date on database"and platform infrastructure concepts and technologies. Make recommendations for"and implement improvements as approved
  • Monitor and plan for"scaling database capacity as needed
  • Utilize scripts to automate"some database management and maintenance processes
  • Maintain"documentation on all processes and procedures within the scope of job functions
  • Provide"on call support for production performance/availability or other critical issues
  • Performs"other duties as assigned

Required"Qualifications

  • 4+"years' experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration, integration and maintenance
  • 4+ years'backgroundwithEpicclient"connectivityarchitectureforHyperspace,"Interconnect& Blob servers"andwebdeploymentincluding in the following"areas:CachorDBA, VMs, Active"Directory,Citrix,load balancing,"firewalland/orNetScaler.has previously managed build migration using Epic's Data Courier utility
  • Experience"implementing an application migration to Microsoft's Azure cloud-based"infrastructure
  • Experience managingbuild migration usingEpic's"Data Courier utility
  • Reside in Nashville, TN or willing to relocate to Nashville
  • Employees are"required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app,"Interactive VoiceResponse (i.e.,"entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group"approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to"keep our work sites safe.
