Sodexo is seeking an evening shift Appearance Care Manager (Janitorial) at International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington, DC.  This manager will be innovative and bring a fresh eye approach to the custodial process in a Class A office space in a corporate environment.  You will manage a team of approximately 30 or more FTEs.  

 

This manager will provide management oversight for Environmental/Custodial Services non-exempt level staff in the delivery of Sodexo Environmental Service Programs on the evening shift; ensures Sodexo Operating Standards for Environmental Service are in place as required to consistently meet all company, client, and regulatory requirements.

 

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Responsible for effective labor management, development of daily workflow assignments, training and development, and monitoring for compliance to the plan.
  • Deliver first class leadership to direct reports and pioneer high-performance culture through a collaborative style and methodical approach
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and recordkeeping requirements and all risks are documented and mitigated effectively.
  • Manage, monitor and report on the financial performance of the department.
  • Coordinate with other teams to ensure satisfactory completion of all work requests.
  • Responsible for assessment, procurement and management of small projects specific to soft services department.
  • Monitoring of supply partners/contractors service delivery and customer interface on a day to day basis.

Our idea candidate will have

  • 5 or more years of Facilities Management experience with emphasis on Soft Services preferred.
  • Experience managing multiple facility sites totaling 2 million square ft. or more.
  • Demonstrated competence in working comfortably with people who have a diverse range of skills, knowledge, abilities, and backgrounds.
  • Experience managing a large diverse team
  • Skilled at teambuilding at all levels of portfolio hierarchy and with external authorities and constituencies.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, using oral, written and electronic methods.
  • The ability to think outside the box and bring innovation. 
  • Experience working in a large corporate \u201cClass A\u201d environment

Position Summary

Provides management oversight for Environmental Services exempt and non-exempt level staff (client and/or Sodexo employees) in the delivery of Sodexo Environmental Service Programs. Ensures Environmental Service programs are in place and functioning according to design to consistently meet all company, client, and regulatory requirements.

 

Key Duties-Establishes a safe work environment for clients, customers and staff by ensuring equipment safety and compliance with Sodexo safety and loss prevention programs and by providing safety-related training and equipment inventory and maintenance.

-Assumes GM responsibilities and authority in his or her absence

-Supervises day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities, and monitoring compliance to operating standards.

-Ensures compliance with application of all Sodexo Quality Assurance and Regulatory standards within the contractually agreed upon scope of services.

-Establish and/or adhere to defined operating standards, develops and implements quality improvements and ensures direct reports and staff adhere to the standards and expectations.

-Assists with Management of Environmental Service budget by ensuring full compliance to established operating standards, monitoring costs (e.g. labor, inventory, equipment, and material), and taking corrective action as needed.

 

 

Qualifications & Requirements
