Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) supports Pfizer Worldwide Research and Development and Commercial business operations around the globe.

+ Facility Planning and Capital Projects Management - Workspace design, Space and occupancy planning and optimisation & Strategic Planning

+ Risk Management Services - Environmental, Health and Safety, Occupational Health, Fire-life Safety, Insurance, Facility compliance review and audit, Business Resilience & Continuity, Crisis Management Support and Emergency Response

+ Facilities Management and Building Services (Hard Services) - Maintenance of building, equipment and infrastructure, Utilities/powerhouse operations, Regulated and non-regulated environments, Technical and office, lab and pilot plants.

+ Amenity and Site Services (Soft Services) - AV, meeting room support, Landscaping roads & Grounds, Food services, Janitorial and waste management, Moves/Add management, Site security, Materials management and logistics including mail delivery and shipping, Pest Control.

+ Laboratory & Instrumentation Services - Instrument Service Scheduling, Asset Management, Repair / Servicing, Calibration, Sample prep, Cage wash, Glass wash, Chemical stores, Import / export

+ Portfolio Management - Enterprise real estate reporting, Corporate Art, Planning, consolidation and reporting



**Job Title: Environmental, Health and Safety Advisor:**



Are you an enthusiastic, motivated, professional, experienced and pragmatic Environment Health and Safety Advisor? Are you equipped to provide high quality support, EHS advice and excellent assistance across the business globally and with external agencies? Would you like utilise and further develop the skills and knowledge you have gained from your NEBOSH General Certificate and Environmental qualifications, in a highly diverse, global fast paced business environment?



Purpose of role:



+ To primarily provide support to the UK Environmental, Health and Safety programmes, initiatives and systems in place across Pfizer UK Worldwide Research & Development and Commercial businesses.

+ Be responsible for the provision of a high standard of (primarily) technical EHS advice and assistance

+ To be an expert in / primary point-of-contact for a broad range of EHS disciplines

+ Subject Matter Expert for some specialisms for which you will be the main point of contact

+ Able to work largely independent of direct day-to-day supervision

+ Sets and adheres to own timelines to ensure delivery of goals as agreed with the EHS Director

+ Demonstrates strategic and tactical awareness and so influences goals and activities

+ Identify shortfalls, agrees and implements resolution

+ Supervise our EHS undergraduate



Your key responsibilities would be to:



+ Contribute to the development, maintenance and review of the UK EHS Management system

+ Formulate and maintain appropriate written policies, procedures, rules, guidance and briefing notes

+ Lead high-level technical assessments, investigations, audits, inspections, surveys, hygiene monitoring, training etc. Arrange and coordinate additional specialist assistance where necessary.

+ Participate in active monitoring programmes, supporting where appropriate, the implementation of recommendations

+ Contribute to the formulation of annual EHS objectives and targets.

+ Plan, develop and participate in EHS Audit and Inspection programmes

+ Identify, compile and deliver or oversee training and coaching programmes

+ Establish and maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation, company standards and best practice, communicating changes and developments and coordinating response to ensure compliance and continued professional competency.

+ Ensure EHS equipment and services are correctly specified, validated and maintained

+ Manage tasks and projects to meet timelines, technical and where appropriate budget requirements

+ Consult and liaise with relevant parties regarding relevant EHS matters, representing the company at external meetings and seminars etc. as directed

+ Support Emergency Preparedness and Business Resilience programmes. Respond to emergencies in an effective, timely and competent manner

+ Act as incident severity assessor and investigation approver, to ensure appropriateness of investigation findings and corrective actions

+ Support the UK EHS Governance structure, through attendance at EHS Committee meetings, communicating key information and documenting outcomes

+ Maintain the UK R&D EHS information SharePoint site and Email account

+ Contribute to data analysis and review, including preparation of performance reports to identify trends and continuous improvement opportunities

+ Compile promotional communications for topical items to be included in the monthly EHS communications programme

+ Provide occasional (anticipated to be 2 - 3 occasions per year) EHS support to Europe, Middle East, Africa and India regional sites and facilities
