Responsibilities

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Systems Integration and Test Engineer provides technical support and advisory services on complex space systems integration efforts. For the purpose of this position the Systems Integration and Test Engineer will be supporting the customer in the identification and management of system Integration and Test activities, development of schedules related to system test and support the integration and transition of systems into the operational baseline. The Systems Integration and Test Engineer possesses demonstrated working knowledge of large space systems development, Integration and Test activities necessary to enable the demonstration of operational capabilities in a larger enterprise.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify activities necessary to enable the integration, test, and delivery of operational capabilities in a larger enterprise
  • Supports system test planning efforts and development of the following: detailed test objectives, plans and success criteria, requirement closure approaches, test execution schedule, simulated data sets, test connectivity, Test Readiness Review documentation and test reports
  • Works with multiple teams and program offices in the development and execution of system test plans and integration efforts
  • Coordinates system test level activities across the enterprise
  • Helps the customer establish priorities and engage with various internal and external stakeholders to include senior executive officials, military officers, development contractors, and end users
  • Develops briefings and assessments to a variety of audiences; must be able to convey information in a clear and articulate manner to Government leadership

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ year experience in Systems Integration and Test
  • Bachelors of Science degree in engineering
  • Experience in systems engineering and integration
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize competing requirements and tasks
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal communications skills

DESIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Masters of Science in engineering, science or related technical field
  • Familiarity with NRO space systems
  • Experience in large systems acquisition
  • Thorough understanding of space systems design, integration, and test execution
