Engineering Senior Manager - Capital Projects
Auto req ID: 255610BR Job Description Provide engineering leadership to Quaker Supply Chain by managing process and/or packaging equipment capacity projects, infrastructure improvements, cost management imperatives and strategic initiatives. Main focus areas: Project management and oversight with proven leadership of complex CAPEX projects exceeding $7MM of total spend Collaboration with operations, R&D, procurement and external suppliers/vendors Drive standardization and serve as a technical liaison between the manufacturing plants Identifies resource needs and organizes effective teams Leads technical-based program across manufacturing in the areas of CFI-PSM, MESS, FCAP or Productivity Knowledge and skill requirements: Functional excellence and demonstrated subject matter expertise in packaging, processing, project management and LSS/TPM with a strong emphasis in Early Management processes Proven project management leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects Familiar with advanced finance and product cost accounting Able to manage and track project scope, schedule and spending Excellent communication/presentation skills with an ability to negotiate with vendors, contractors and consultants Team building skills are required to manage and lead cross-functional teams. Needs to demonstrate or provide examples of previous team leadership activities Self-motivated, results and action-oriented. Able to make independent and sound decisions Computer skills include familiarity with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS project CAD and SAPCompensation and Benefits: Expected salary range is $96,600 to $140,000 Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 15% of annual salary paid out annually Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement Other benefits, subject to elections and eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Health and Dependent Care Reimbursement Accounts, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Insurance (Accident, Group Legal, Life), Defined Contribution Retirement Plan Qualifications/Requirements BS Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering Minimum of 8 to 15 years of project engineering experience, with a focus on process/packaging design and project management of large capital initiatives The ideal candidate must be a motivated, self-starter with good people and communications skills Must be able to work effectively in a team environment with demonstrated success in influencing at all levels inside as well as outside the company Needs to be able to manage and/or mentor other engineers Needs to be able to manage and prioritize multiple projects at multiple plant locations and actively interact with cross-functional teams Able to provide analysis of options and improvements based on the SLRP and Facilities Plan Ability to work on teams and exhibit business leadership skills Solid project management capabilities, as the position is responsible from concept through process validation Position requires 50% travel, up to 100% during project install and CQV phases COVID-19 vaccination is a condition of employment for this role.
