Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) engineers at our Rolling Meadows / Arlington Heights, IL location. The selected candidates will report to the SEIT Department in the Infrared Countermeasures (IRCM), Product Support, Radio Frequency (RF), or Targeting Department. Systems Engineer opportunities area available in three disciplines in SEIT support the various product areas:

**Integration & Test** : You will conduct integration testing and evaluate complex electronics systems from hardware/software design through aircraft installation. Your key responsibilities will be to ensure that the systems we make work and work well. This will involve the creation and execution of Integration, Design Verification Test, and Flight Test plans and procedures. Youll be able to apply your knowledge and experience in one or more of the following specialties we have on site: EO/IR/RF systems, sensors/antennas, transmitters/receivers, optics, detection and tracking. Tasks can vary in location from on-site activities in one of our Systems Integration Labs (SILs) to activities out in the field (test events, ranges, customer sites, etc.) and they can consist across a broad spectrum of environments and complexities.

**Modeling & Simulation:** A primary task for a modeling and simulations engineer is development of in-house models and algorithms. Typically, models are in MATLAB and represent various aspects of the system from antenna performance to whole system engagement models. Strong domain knowledge combined with valuable software development skills are required to produce the accurate models that drive the critical analysis needed to design our future systems. This department also includes engineers that are involved with creating and refining Model Based System Engineering products (System behavioral models, Use Case realizations, State Machines, etc.), generation and update of System and sub-system level specifications in DOORS, including requirements traceability, creation of Verification Cross Reference Matrices (VCRM), verification traceability (tracing requirements to test plans/procedures/results), and update and maintenance of system drawings and documents. As a part of the SEIT team, a Systems Design engineer is exposed to the front-end Systems Engineering process and coordinates across many disciplines to ensure that the system description and requirements are properly and thoroughly defined and captured.

**Product Support** : Opportunities exist on three different teams, Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS), Coding Team, and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) team. In FRACAS, you will support a process used to identify and manage the initiation of corrective actions for problems that impact the reliability of a system and monitor the effectiveness of the systems reliability performance. As part of the Coding Team, you will create applications for various organizations to streamline the way they visualize and consume data to make business decisions. As part of the GFE team, you would work with the Program Management organization, Contracts, Depot, Engineering, and Customers to ensure on-hand GFE will meet program needs.

**Basic Qualifications:**

BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related technical degree with 2+ years of related experience or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related technical field.

Demonstrated proficiency in analytical thinking and problem solving skills

Excellent written and oral communications skills

Strong work ethic and the ability to work in an integrated product team (IPT) environment

Active Secret and ability to obtain Top Secret clearance

**Preferred Qualifications** :

Experience with real-time signal processing in both firmware and software

Experience in an integration and test environment for complex electronic systems

Knowledge of MATLAB, C, C++, C#, CUDA, VHDL, OpenCL, SysML, Python, or other scripting languages

Experience with Model Based Engineering (MBE) concepts and tools (Rhapsody)

Working knowledge of DOORS and ClearCase/ClearQuest

Experience creating integration and test, design verification test and flight test plans and procedures

Working knowledge of one of more of the following specialty areas for integration and test related to EO/IR/RF systems: sensors/antennas, transmitters/receivers, optics, detection and tracking

Salary Range: $77,900.00 - $116,900.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
