Sodexo seeks an Energy Solutions Manager with experience managing a sustainability program.  This position will provide oversight of the clients energy and sustainability program focused on the clients sustainability goals and certification maintenance and is responsible for analyzing current energy usage and developing the clients energy management plan in order to provide proper environmental conditions with cost effective energy utilization.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serves as clients sustainability champion by successfully communicating initiatives, goals and information on clients behalf providing planning and management of sustainability programs and projects involving energy reduction, water efficiency, purchasing, waste reduction, indoor air quality, alternative transportation, and green building operations.
  • Manage the IMF recycling program including:
  • Monthly assessing, improving, and tracking of all recycling program waste streams to increase waste diverted from landfill and reduce total waste generated on site.
  • Conducting regularly scheduled inspections for compliance of the waste recycling program including operations for recyclables, compost, e-waste, hazardous and universal waste, facility alteration and addition waste, and durable goods for donation or reuse.
  • Identification of recycling program compliance problems; and recommending solutions, training, or changes required to resolve the problems to improve diversion rates.
  • Conduct periodic waste stream audits.
  • Assists with technical review, analysis and inspection of maintenance work in IMF facilities in order to determine methods of energy conservation and coordinates with building managers in making operational recommendations to conserve energy.
  • Evaluates building systems for proper operation and recommends repairs and/or renovations that are necessary to continue effective operations of IMF facilities in conserving energy costs.
  • Provides technical knowledge of the various LEED rating systems, LEED Online process and EBOM.

 Ideal candidate will have:

  • 5 years experience running and oversight of a sustainability program
  • Technical knowledge of the various LEED rating systems, LEED Online process and EBOM.

Position Summary

- Develops long-range plans for implementing energy conservation and recommends sound policies directed towards sustainability

- Provides regular reports as to the overall effectiveness of the energy management program

- Participates in or leads energy management and sustainability training sessions for client staff and other Sodexo Managers

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 5 years
