Auto req ID: 266792BR Job Description The EHS Engineer is responsible for supporting the execution of the Environmental, Health and Safety agenda across the Valhalla site supporting on Global R&D EHS policy. They must ensure the maintenance of current EHS standards, as well as supporting the implementation of the PepsiCo Global EHS standard. To further develop the site EHS agenda, the EHS Engineer also owns the execution plans for Machine Equipment Safety, Contractor Management, and Permit to Work to foster an EHS culture working in synergy within the framework of the PepsiCo business culture, with an aim to develop and promote this EHS culture model across the R&D community. Accountabilities: Serve as MSE for MESS (machine equipment safety standard), Contractor Management, and PTW (permit to work) at the site Own the implementation and execution of MESS, Contractor Management, and PTW Maintain and utilize digital tools in MyEHS and ISN Net world to manage all relevant EHS standards Create JHA (job hazard assessment) for MESS and PTW Create SOP for all MESS and PTW related tasks Collaborate with MESS and Contractor management teams to achieve efficient workflow Support EHS manager on the implementation of all GEHSMS standards Support and track compliance with all EHS regulatory agency needs Conduct and support EHS auditing/inspection and CAPAs closure Conduct technical risk assessment and risk control for MESS and PTW Conduct EHS training and assessment Participate EHS related investigation and root cause analysis Actively involved in all EHS programs in Valhalla COVID-19 vaccination is a condition of employment for this role. Please note that all such company vaccine requirements provide the opportunity to request an approved accommodation or exemption under applicable law#LI-USA Qualifications/Requirements Bachelors degree in Engineering Mechanical, electrical safety and LOTO experience (preferred) 2+ yrs. relevant experience (Preferred) Passion for safety and care of others. Experience in an EHS professional role with manufacturing processes safety (Preferred) Results orientated and self-motivated Ability to set, guide and influence a wide health and safety agenda. Able to gain high level alignment to ensure plans are coordinated and effective Differentiating Competencies Required: Strong influencing skills with the ability to manage in all directions. Is comfortable dealing with difficult discussions and situations. Strong team player, able to adapt to different audiences. Good project management skills, able to manage own time and gain time commitment from others with reference to action plans. Excellent communication skills able to communicate clearly and confidently at all levels - 1:1, in writing and presenting in group situations.
