Provides technical leadership and strategic direction eDiscovery and digital forensic platforms, automations, and toolsets used to enable all collections and investigations for the at Cox Communications, Cox Automotive, Cox Enterprises, and their emerging businesses. This role is responsible to deliver the solution design, development of automation, and defines the required technology operations for current and future eDiscovery technology shared services supporting the Litigation COE, HR investigations, and Corporate Security.


Identifies emerging technologies and solutions which to support and improve technology delivery. Establishes and implements technical and operating performance standards


Job Responsibilities:


Provide technical leadership, solutions design and operational process to advance eDiscovery and digital forensic shared services.




* Provides technical leadership and informs strategic directions for technology solutions and support, aligned to the needs of the business partners including but not limited to Litigation COE, Corporate Security, HR investigations, and external litigation partners.

* Identifies and recommends business solutions, negotiates deliverables and requirements across multiple stakeholder groups within all divisions of the Cox businesses.

* Acts as the leading technology advisor and architect for eDiscovery automation and digital forensics toolkits, justifying operational capacity and technology costs in all decisions.

* Ensure that all solutions development has fully considered the requirements of the Litigation COE and court requirements for defensibility.

* Designs the operational health checks for collection platforms, tools and processes which are key to the delivery of eDiscovery shared service to all divisions of the Cox companies.

* Anticipates industry future direction and legal requirements drives change to current and future projects.



Partners with other functional groups to develop and analyze operational support, methods and procedures, and processes to deliver effectiveness, efficiency, and a quality customer experience.




* Partner with business stakeholders and technology owners develop operational metrics and financial reporting to drive continuous improvement initiatives for the unique customers at each division.

* Consult with business partners to integrate customer solutions ensure the company can protect itself against litigation and support internal investigations activities.

* Consults with business leaders to define key performance indicators and service levels, create a process framework, and initiate and direct improvement activities for eDiscovery COE.

* Assist in the development of metrics and key performance indicators on the workload, process efficiency, and recommend continuous improvement plans for the COE operations.

* Manage strategic vendors, partner with Legal stakeholders for vendor management strategy and contract negotiations.



Develop team, self and customer partners on processes, technology, and legal standards applicable to their role in the process.




* Develops team members at all career levels and provides mentoring for team colleagues transitioning into the eDiscovery function and progressing on to our roles in IT, Security, and Investigations.

* Engage every team member to understand their workflow processes, educate on standard practices, and provide practical recommendations to support their work.

* Increase the abilities of all team members involved with customer engagement and the delivery of eDiscovery services to Cox Communications, Cox Automotive, and Cox Enterprises.

* Engage with customer partners to educate and implement processes that ensure eDiscovery technology platforms and shared services meet or exceed their expectations.

Qualifications: Required:




* 10+ years experience in diverse leadership evaluating cybersecurity threats, delivery of technology initiatives, and operational response.

* 8+ years as a proven, technical consultant and trusted partner within a large scale operation. Proven track record assessing technologies, designing solutions, and evaluating solutions.

* Technology experience that includes a thorough knowledge of data collection, preservation, and processing capabilities, including the any limitations which inform the collection plan.

* Strong command of written and verbal communications, especially executive communication and simple communications of complex technology and processes.

* Mastery knowledge of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model, multiple collection technology and digital forensics tools, and federal court standards for electronic information handling.

* Advanced problem solving experience and aptitude to be creative and effective when under demanding circumstances and addressing complex problem sets.



Preferred:




* Previous experience in managing eDiscovery capabilities at a large scale with a law firm or corporation.

* Previous leadership of information security programs and functions.

* Industry certifications in one or more disciplines in the field of Information Security, eDiscovery, Legal, or Information Technology.





Travel: As required for team building and collaboration with external business partners.
