The Security Engineer will join the eDiscovery & Forensics Investigation team to perform the role of the eDiscovery Process Analyst. This person is an integral member of the eDiscovery center of excellence, a technology shared service providing investigations support and assisting electronic data discovery for multiple projects. This team member will rely on strong client service orientation, data management skills, and technology acumen to deliver on eDiscovery requests from Cox litigation and investigations functions. Exemplary customer service, strong team orientation, efficient approaches to data collections are the keys to success for this role.

*Job Responsibilities:*

Assist in all e-Discovery collection efforts and investigations, both internal and external to Cox businesses, through routine interactions with Legal department staff and management. Deliver high quality work in a time efficient manner to support Legal matter hearings and investigations. Work will be a combination of independent task execution as well as team collaboration.

* Support the case intake and tracking process, with care and adherence to strict legal deadlines and delivery deadlines.

* Create and maintain comprehensive eDiscovery project documentation and maintain the organization and cataloging of all digital media.

* Comply with department processes and industry requirements for electronic discovery and digital forensics processing.

* Apply rule-based thinking, collaborative problem solving, and judgement to deliver accurate, efficient data collections that will inform Legal strategy and ensure defensibility in court.

* Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance the client experience.

* Provide workflow consultation, drive the development of standards and participate in the daily activities associated with providing ediscovery support to clients.

* Collaborate with team manager to formulate standard operational procedures for inter-divisional communications, recommending improvements as necessary

* Create and report on metrics, case intake, case life cycle and case closure to the Litigation COE

* Identify training needs by consulting with stakeholders and deliver training solutions that meet eDiscovery requirements

* Partner with internal counsel and assist in defining document/data collection scope


* Bachelors degree or equivalent experience, and 2 - 7 years of experience in a related discipline in Legal, Technology, or Investigations support.

* 3+ years working at scale for within a large law firm, corporate legal support group, or litigation support service provider is required.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills needed to communicate complex problems, including root cause, to both technical and non-technical audiences and the ability to tailor messaging based on the intended audience.

* Strong collaboration skills, communications skills that maintain trust and confidence of all customers and team members.

* Mature working knowledge with forensic processes, data collection procedures, with a solid understanding of litigation processes.

* Proven track record of delivering quality result in projects involving data collection, data storage, and chain of custody.

* Knowledgeable with multiple eDiscovery document review platforms and forensic tookits from one or more vendors.
