Our team at PepsiCo eCommerce works with cutting-edge technology to build our own tech-stack and experiences from scratch. Were looking for an experienced Design Leader to join the PepsiCo eComm organization as Design Manager to lead the D2C and B2B design team. The ideal Design Manager possesses great empathy towards others, good design thinking, managerial and people skills. All without an ego. You will be responsible for managing a growing a team of product designers focused on building and maintaining our product capabilities across D2C and B2B experiences, mobile apps and experiment with digital innovation like voice commerce. This position reports directly to the UX Design Director/Head of Design for PepsiCo eCommerce, collaborates closely with our engineering and product leads, and is based out of NYC/SF/Bay Area locations. Weve been laser focused on winning in the marketplace, developing and executing direct-to-consumer experiences like PantryShop.com, Hilolife.com, Healthwarrior.com and MountainDewRise.com. Responsibilities Lead and manage a small design team of staff and contractors. Help foster a vision, creativity, and collaboration between teams and outside of your area of ownership. Evangelize design thinking at the company, resulting in tangible improvements across our portfolio of products as well as to how we approach and solve customer/user problems Design quality control. Help facilitate and manage task flows between engineers, product, and design team. Contribute to the growth of PepsiCos eComms design culture. Elevate quality of user experience for the end user. Qualifications/Requirements Key Qualifications/Requirements 8 - 10+ Years of relevant Design Experience Strong experience managing and leading a small (or large) design team Previous experience working on consumer facing applications. Expert knowledge of user-centered design principles and language. Extraordinary written and verbal communication skills. Excellent collaborative skills with designers and cross-team functions. Demonstrable fluency with the latest industry design and project management tools (Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, Zeplin, Jira, etc). Capable of working in a loosely structured organization. Displays engagement, motivation, empathy, and humility. Comfortable receiving and giving constructive feedback. Possesses the ability to present and influence stakeholders.
