Auto req ID: 234773BR Job Description Duties: Fix various bugs in the software platform and data pipelines to maintain quality. Optimize existing software program and database queries to improve software performance and scale. Write unit tests and integration tests to ensure the quality of the software system. Document the software designs, architecture, and changes logs on wiki page. Conduct and approve code reviews of other engineers within organization. Guide new team members and update them on current state of software architecture and systems. Use APM monitoring systems, such as DataDog and New Relic, to analyze system performance for various data pipelines. Setup alert system in case system performance standards degrades. Build large, scalable software platforms using data technologies such as Python , Airflow, Kafka, Spark, Snowflake, Kubernetes, and Docker to leverage Big Data technologies. Work with product engineering teams and data scientists to solve personalization, content discovery, search, advertising, and content production issues through machine learning models in production and enabling data science research and analysis. Design and implement data infrastructure and processing workflows required to support data science, machine learning, BI and reporting in AWS. Build robust, efficient and reliable data pipelines consisting of diverse data sources using software technologies such as python, snowflake, and spark. Design and develop real time streaming and batch processing pipeline solutions. Build data stores and data warehouse solutions for feature variables required for machine learning and Business analysis. Qualifications/Requirements Bachelors degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Science or related and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related role. Must have three (3) years of experience with: schema design and dimensional data modeling, and SQL; and Python or Java programming languages. Must have one (1) year of experience with: SnowFlake, AWS Redshift, and TeraData data warehousing solutions; data pipeline and workflow management tools such as Airflow and Luigi; and S3, EC2, EMR, RDS, and Redshift AWS cloud services.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability status.
