The role

 

The Distribution Account Manager (DAM) aaS Specialist will be the strategic lead to develop and grow the as a Service Business of our German Distribution Partners.

Beside the logistical core competencies IT Distributors today are the engine that delivers a broad set of enablement and marketing activities for our partner base. Beyond that our Distributors more and more accelerate their footprint in offering a wide portfolio of Services which are not just available through standard ordering processes but also especially though their Cloud Marketplaces and as a Service models.

Supporting our partners to transform their business models to match end customer needs in solution building and consumption is our primary goal and our Distributors are Ciscos No 1 scaling engine to achieve this target!




What you will do

 

In this role you will be the expert for everything around as a Service in your team of Distribution Account Managers. You will get the opportunity to find, build and implement as a Service strategic touch points with all Cisco Distributors in the German market and integrate them in their transformational growth plans together with your DAM peers. Every Business opportunity which is non-standard to Cisco can be part of your scope!




In this role you will:

 

  • Lead the implementation of the Digital only approach of one of our Distributors to the German market. Their track record is Platform Business and it will be your opportunity to make this super successful with Cisco.
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of the Cisco Ecosystem and drive high level of engagement with the Distributors with the focus to discover and win new opportunities in as a Service Business Models.
  • Drive your Distributors Partner Enablement and Marketing activities with responsibility for a transparent and measurable invest of Marketing and Enablement funds.
  • Closely align with the respective DAMs in your team to collaborate on integrative business and marketing plans which include all aspects of new Business for Cisco.
  • Closely align with your peers in the German and EMEAR partner organisation to implement and utilise synergy effects in business areas like Managed Services, SaaS, HaaS or E-Commerce.
  • Closely align with the Cisco Sales Teams to coordinate and drive Route to Market activities/ programs through Distribution
  • Engage with the Distribution EMEA Team responsible for the Hypergrowth initiatives and special program owners to align on strategic focus areas.



 

Who you are

 

Skills required:

 

  • Its essential you bring a proven track record in Software and/or Solution Selling. Ideally experience in Recurring Revenue Sales.
  • Experience in Partner and/or Distribution Account Management is highly appreciated.
  • You bring along a multi-year experience in leading virtual teams. You need the ability to get along with different levels of engagement, countries and cultures.
  • You possess a sound understanding of 2-Tier processes within Cisco - or indirect Sales generally this truly helps.
  • You have an intrinsic motivation to build up new revenue streams and to try what no one else tried before you.
  • You are a strong communicator on all hierarchy levels and you are able to build sustainable relationships with your counterparts externally as well as internally.
  • It definitely helps if you are stress resilient and if you bring an ability to work in an environment with a number of tasks at a given time.
  • You possess fluent German and English written and spoken communication skills (C1 Level)
  • After we return from the COVID 19 restrictions the ability to travel is required.
