What You'll Do:

The Distribution Account Manager (DAM) will be the strategic lead to expand the business with one of our major Distributors in Germany.  Beside the shipment of Cisco equipment, Distributors today are the engine that delivers a broad set of Services offers as well as enablement and marketing activities for our partner base.

Driving growth with our partners is the foundation of Cisco mutual growth ambitions in Germany and will be the measurement for the DAM role.


In this role you will:

  • Lead the Strategic Engagement with a Distribution Partner on Exec Level
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of the assigned markets and drive high level of engagement with the Distributor with the focus to discover and win new opportunities.
  • Drive the Distributors Partner Enablement and Marketing activities with responsibility for a transparent and measurable invest of Marketing and Enablement funds with strong integration of Cisco Partner programs.
  • Closely align with today PAM/VPAM community to ensure best enablement & marketing activities for our PAM covered partners.
  • Ensure Business Management & Operations, including weekly Forecast and special deal support
  • Engage with the EMEAR Distribution Team to ensure in-line development of the German Distribution Partner subsidiaries with the Global/EMEAR activities
  • Closely align with the Cisco Commercial and SMALL Sales Team to coordinate and drive Route to Market activities/programs through Distribution
  • Engage with the EMEA Team responsible for the Cisco Business of the respective Distributor to align on strategic focus areas and special programs

Who you are:

Skills you possess:

  • Proven track record of successfully managed Partner(s) as (V)PAM or assimilable roles
  • Sound understanding of 2-Tier processes within Cisco
  • Ability to communicate on Executive Level
  • Ability to build a strong & sustainable relationship with Partner/Distributor via todays Communication Tools
  • Background in and/or deep knowledge of Commercial or Small Business Market.
  • Personal skill of working in a transparent and highly measurable environment
  • Stress resistance and an ability to work in an environment with lots of task at a given time
  • Ability to work in a virtual team structure on different levels of engagement, countries and culture
  • Fluent German and English skills both in writing and speaking

As a minimum requirement, you should have a multiyear background covering partners and/or Distributors in your very recent past.
