What Youll Do

  • Youll play a leadership role in managing, both directly and matrixed, a team of Product Owners, Agile PMs, Scrum Masters, Release Managers and vendors who support highly visible Technology projects
  • Youll provide leadership and direction to promote successful project delivery
  • Youll build and maintain a high performing team; hire and retain the right talent and ensure Program Manager, Project Manager and Scrum Master career growth
  • Youll develop and empower team members to make appropriate program / project-related decisions while fostering a culture of teamwork, collaboration and mentoring
  • Youll manage proper distribution and allocation of resources, and implementation of budgets
  • Youll work collaboratively across cross-functional areas within Cisco to drive overall program success
  • Youll communicate status and technical issues verbally and in writing to technical staff, product partners and senior management at the appropriate level
  • Youll promote continual learning and process improvements to deliver projects from inception to conclusion
  • Youll manage the coordination of activities and communication across global distributed locations

Who You'll Work With

The Transformation Acceleration (TA) team takes a holistic and forward-looking approach to work on Ciscos largest and most critical opportunities. It ensures the highest-priority, cross-functional programs achieve business outcomes for Cisco. In this role, you will work with a diverse set of functions and individuals across the company that are working towards common and critical business objectives. The functions will differ from program to program providing a fantastic opportunity to learn the various aspects of Ciscos business and build a broad network of contacts.

Who You Are

  • You have 15+ years of enterprise -level technical Agile program delivery / project management experience in a fast-paced SaaS environment, navigating ambiguity successfully in large complex projects in a matrix organization
  • You have launched, stabilized and optimized at the Scaled Agile Portfolio level
  • People management, cross-functional team leadership and experience managing technical teams
  • You bring a start-up mindset to the management approach
  • You are an excellent problem-solver and critical-thinker with the ability to identify and remove barriers and enable teams to complete their objectives
  • You are a great listener and can communicate clearly with many types of people
  • You are self-motivated and highly driven
  • You have waterfall and Agile (Safe/Scrum/Kanban) development methodology experience

Minimum Requirements

  • Some combination of CSM, PSM, CSPO, CPO, CAL, or Agile Coach certification.
  • BA or BS or equivalent experience is required; MA, MBA or MS is a plus
  • Very effective interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of business needs with the ability to establish/maintain high level of customer trust and confidence
  • Solid understanding of and demonstrated experience in using appropriate Agile Project Management tools such as Jira, Rally, VersionOne or equivalent
  • Strong oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels including the executive level
  • Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the big picture view
