Location: 700 Anderson Hill Road, Purchase NY 10577 Duties: Lead the Life Sciences platform including over 20 life scientists and R&D associates by setting the research strategy and developing the framework for scientific literature and market research reports, known as monographs, that produce program roadmaps for novel product development and/or product claims, including training and staffing of monograph teams, external vendor management, setting Key Performance Indicators, and preparing templates and design strategy for product development and/or product claims. Meet with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams to discuss scientific literature and market research reports that produce novel product development and/or product claims. Set strategy, manage, and liaise with Global and U.S. universities and research institutions to help drive novel product development, product claims, and help improve health and wellness of consumers. Partner with a major U.S. university to develop a public/private research program for Personalized Nutrition as applied to food and beverage product development. Partner with a major Asian University to develop a public/private research program on Traditional and Herbal Medicine as applied to food and beverage product development. Assist programs within major U.S. universities by providing scientific expertise on physiology and metabolism to develop wearable technologies and sensors that monitor food and fluid intake, which can be used to support athletic performance or general health and wellness. Help build and develop PepsiCos Life Science capabilities through a new center to advance PepsiCos personalized nutrition expertise and deliver one to three prototype proposals annually to be evaluated and selected by an executive committee level Innovation Board by setting PepsiCos personalized nutrition center strategy and developing the team through strategic hires, enrolment of internal guiding board and academic partners, and developing external research programs to advance PepsiCos personalized nutrition initiatives and prototypes. Lead external strategic academic partnerships and vendor relationships to support personalized nutrition programs within PepsiCo. Job Requirements: Bachelors degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Nutrition, Food Science, or related field and three (3) years of experience in consumer goods industry, management consulting, or strategy function. Must have three (3) years of experience with: linking research to business opportunity (business case development); publishing, presenting and promoting research as well as reviewing published research; negotiation, coordination and presentation; working in a matrix organization and leading multi-faceted teams; and data analytics and business acumen. Travel required up to 15% of the time.
