TITLE:                  Director, Planning & Analysis (The Prudential Insurance Company of America)

LOCATION:         Newark, NJ
DUTIES:               Analyze trends in the international businesses, including pension and insurance markets, specifically in Latin America, Europe and Africa, and develop detailed insightful analytics, from proprietary and public information, for senior management, highlighting key challenges and actionable insights. Proactively identify opportunities to optimize processes and develop innovative approaches to assess the health of the businesses in each region. Evaluate new products and business initiatives from a strategic, capital, and profitability perspective. Assist in capital management activities including the development of capital frameworks, cost of capital analysis, and revision of business capital plans. Support strategic initiatives and Mergers & Acquisitions, including due diligence and/or merger integration, development of investment thesis on potential growth opportunities, financial statement modeling, synergy analysis, and related business/corporate development initiatives. Lead the process of developing major stakeholders deliverables, including writing and editing reports as well as presentations for senior management, such as local and regional CEOs and CFOs. Influence in-country finance and strategy local teams through partnering and work in multi-functional projects with opportunity to travel to the countries in the region on key projects. Develop detailed budget and forecast models to drive high quality decision-making and closely monitor business performance. Collaborate with key internal stakeholders including Regional Leadership, Corporate Development, Actuarial, Portfolio Management, Tax, Treasurers, and other internal teams. Turn data into meaningful insights and transformative solutions and move stakeholders to action with plans to execute our recommendations.


REQTS:                 Must have a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field plus five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered, or as an Associate, Consultant, or related. Must have five (5) years of progressively responsible experience with: business strategy and corporate development experience Latin America (Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, and Mexico); management consulting experience within the financial services industry and insurance; financial planning/modeling and analysis; data analytics; process optimization/project management; ability to partner with all business unit levels including senior management and top executives from local and/or regional operations; business cases and pitchbook preparation including: investment thesis/rationale, industry and market analysis, Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats analysis, and financial modeling; Latam regulatory frameworks and public data sources; and survey tools, including Qualtrics. Employer will accept a Masters degree in a stated field plus three (3) years of experience. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience.


TRAVEL:        10-15% travel to various and unanticipated locations nationally and internationally


HOURS:                Full time; Mon- Fri (37.5 hrs/week)
