DIRECTV Marketing is looking for an innovative and experienced Paid Search Director to join our Performance Marketing team.


The Performance Marketing team is a unique group within the company focused on driving DIRECTV prospect acquisition, buying digital media across search, display, social and affiliate platforms. The team works closely with Dotcom Sales, Creative Development, Analytics, Call Centers, Finance and external agencies and acquisition partners to maximize margin-rich, prospect acquisition stimulated from digital media. This position will specifically be the go-to thought leader and visionary of Paid Search strategy, leading both external 3 rd party execution and internal direct competency development.


**Key responsibilities:**


+ Drive how the business plans and executes paid search activities that generate gross activations via 3 rd party execution and held accountable to gross activation goals

+ Creates testing frameworks and processes to achieve measurable results at scale and maximizes incremental yield across SEM/SEO

+ Consistently researches and tracks relevant competitive trends and market conditions that will be the basis of paid search strategy and direction

+ Drives growth through paid search, overseeing commission investments, and contributes to integrated planning and budgeting for all in-house digital performance marketing competency development

+ Considered an expert search leader who articulates concepts to executive leadership and stakeholders throughout organization and industry


+ Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent work experience

+ 10+ years experience in digital media / search operations or related experience

+ Experience in building teams and partnering with 3 rd party partners

+ Strong strategic and planning skills with a record of developing programs and implementing teams that deliver measurable results


**Preferred Qualifications:**


+ Expert knowledge of Google and Bing platforms and capabilities

+ In-depth knowledge of various analytics suites eg, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics), PPC bid optimization tools (eg, Adobe Ad Cloud Search, Google SA360) and DMPs (eg, AAM, BlueKai)

+ 1-2 recent years in digital advertising / marketing, e.g.

+ Paid search campaign execution and management

+ Experience in media buying directly or via agency

+ Account management at Ad Tech companies (e.g., Facebook)


AT&T and TPG signed an agreement to form a new entity, DIRECTV, which will own and operate AT&Ts U.S. video unit consisting of DIRECTV (consumer and business satellite services), AT&T TV and U-verse TV (excluding U-verse network assets). **_When the transaction closes, the job you are applying for will become part of the New DIRECTV_** **.** Transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2021.
