Laurel Heights Hospital located in Atlanta Georgia has a DIRECTOR OF NURSING/INFECTION CONTROLopportunity.Laurel Heights Hospital is an intensive Residential Treatment/Acuteand Autism Spectrum Disorders Program for children and adolescents.We serve and treat severe and complex psychiatric and behavioraldifficulties and co-occurring psychiatric issues. We provide acaring, therapeutic setting with various therapeutic modalities andapplied behavior analysis services. EOE.

Job Requirements

BSN graduate of accredited RN program (Masters Preferred)and current RN license, CPR certification;Knowledge of nursing theory and epidemiology. Knowledgeable in aspects of OSHAs blood borne pathogen standards. experience in psychiatric nursing preferred, skills in evaluation, decision-making, prioritizing and time management ; high school, preferably college level reading, writing, and math skills; excellent telephone usage skills and strong verbal skills; knowledge of health care service delivery systems and third party reimbursement; understanding of admission and discharge function; familiarity with medical terminology, diagnostic terms and treatment modalities; knowledge of medical record keeping; strong interpersonal, organizational,; policy interpretation skills; familiarity with applicable standards and regulations; flexibility; attention to detail; able to comprehend psychiatric evaluations, consults, lab results, etc.; responsiveness to deadlines; assertiveness, persistence, and persuasiveness; strong supervision skills, able to work with minimal direction or supervision.
