Director, Marketing Capabilities


Prudentials Marketing organization has recently undergone a transformation into targeted Centers of Excellence focused on driving personalized experiences for our customers, clients and advisors. Our Marketing Operations & Enablement COE is seeking a Director of Marketing Capabilities, reporting to the Vice President of Marketing Capabilities & Enablement, to drive our marketing automation initiatives forward. 


In a team responsible for driving holistic marketing automation and an integrated MarTech ecosystem, the person in this role will serve as business owner and manage several key marketing tools and various integrated technologies to enable targeted cross-channel marketing campaigns across audience segments. 


The right person will have a good mix of marketing automation/orchestration platforms with a focus on lead generation and customer experiences; experience with campaign automation and the integrations necessary to deliver unified and consistent journeys across channels; and experience enabling actionable marketing data. To be successful in this role, the individual must have a strong work ethic, possess attention to detail, be highly flexible, have a history of data-based decision making, and demonstrate strong project management discipline and leadership. This individual should be able to get in the weeds while also being able to think big-picture, with a constant focus on driving outcomes.


Job Responsibilities

     Lead and execute MarTech projects identifying opportunities for improving and optimizing customer engagement/conversions with automation; and connecting disparate internal systems to deliver a unified customer experience

    Build and execute the strategic plan for MarTech tools and capabilities that support marketing plans and requirements across the customer, client and advisor engagement lifecycles

    Participate in developing and converting the corporate vision and strategy into enterprise-wide marketing capabilities, collaborating with marketing, campaign and analytics teams to ensure optimal tools are deployed to meet their acquisition, retention, cross sell goals

     Lead the adoption of DMP (Data Management Platform) technology and evangelize use cases with integrated systems across the marketing and product teams

    Drive innovation and integration roadmaps for Marketing Automation, AdTech and Analytics tools aligned with broader MarTech stack strategy and in consideration of marketing data ecosystem

    Develop and maintain consultative relationships with key business stakeholders, proactively identifying and addressing marketing technology and enablement needs



       Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience (4 years) in digitally enabled businesses. MBA or business degree a plus

       8 years of experience in marketing capabilities and campaign automation supporting integrated, cross-channel campaigns; AdTech, Brand Tech and Analytics Tech a plus

       Strong people/project leadership and demonstrated ability to partner closely with marketing, analytics and product teams to drive outcomes for highly visible projects

       Comfortable working with senior leaders across the organization, making recommendations and creating executive updates

       Comfortable working with ambiguous and changing requirements and deadlines with a constant need to prioritize based on outcomes

       Roll up your sleeves mentality; must be able to foster collaboration to drive strategies, plans, results and outcomes enterprise-wide

       Must be a self-starter, highly organized, and able to effectively work independently, as well as part of a team and across functions and levels of the organization

       Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills

       Experience in financial services preferred
